Per-Stage Animation Labels?

I am trying to make a detailed sex statistics tracking mod. Think "character has had consensual penetrative vaginal sex with Imperial males X times" level of detail. I can do this with good accuracy in two-person SexLab scenes by using the actor order, the victim/aggressor states, and the animation tags. I have run into a brick wall trying to be accurate for group sex scenes. There are too many permutations and not enough tags. Example worst-case: a consensual 5P all-female scene with the "Cunnilingus" tag has 256 possibilities of what the player character did, and over a million possibilities among all the actors.

 

So my question is whether anyone has made a tagging system for specific sex stages in an animation? Even if it is only partly complete?

 

I found SexLab Anim Stage Labels which adds 11 tags to individual stages for a lot of animation sets, but those tags are about the scene (like "slow vaginal") and not about the actor (like "actor in position 0 does cunnilingus on actor in position 3).

 

I have never tried OStim but I have read that their system has more animation control, so I downloaded an OStim animation pack to see if I could find more detailed labels in it. I don't think that I have, but I a may be missing something. If they do have labels, I am sure I could write a parser to extract the information and match to equivalent SexLab animations.

 

Is there anything else?

 

My guess is no, but maybe somebody remembers something else that exists?

 

In the short term, I will probably revise my system to track sex acts with single partners only, and to count group encounters in a separate category that does not make (lots of wrong) assumptions about who does what to whom.

 

For the long term, I will write this idea down in my mod ideas document. The detailed tag system itself would not be hard to build. But manually reviewing every animation and writing down a system-parsable equivalent of "Animation X, Stage 2: Actor 0 gives handjob to Actor 2, Actor 1 vaginally penetrates Actor 0, etc." for hundreds or thousands of animations is tedious. I don't think I have a good enough mod concept for using that level of detail to make it worth doing, at least right now.

Hentairim is an extention of stage labels idea with a considerable improvement in precision. Its tags are probably the exact thing you're looking for.

Thanks for that. Now that I read the page again, I remember that I read it before, but I must not have remembered it correctly because I thought it did not extend the SLASL tags. Also I thought it was mostly for sound/voice matching. I will look much closer at it. I think the name keeps fooling me about what it can do.

 

The tags are not fully precise because they only cover "what the actor is doing" without the "to whom" part at the end, but there might be enough context to reliably guess on most animations. That 3+ female with the cunnilingus tag case being hard to parse is still there, but there are over 24 thousand entries worth of work to use, and that is a good starting point to build on. Even if it might take building a big logical state machine to really work with it for this idea.
