Fallout 4 cloth physics (BSClothExtraData)

I have put some effort into making a workflow for creating and exporting cloth physics for Starfield and the official art tools that came with starfields CK

I had a look at some fallout 4 bsclothextradata nif blocks and they seem to look more or less identical to starfields, setup-wise/structurally.

Because of this, it seems likely to me that my addon will work for cloth and hair physics in fallout 4 too, if the resulting hkx file is downgraded to an appropriate havok cloth version, probably 2014?

Downgrading could probably be done with this github repo

I don't really play FO4 so I wont pursure this at the moment, but if someone is interested in trying this out feel free to poke me for help/guidance.

Maybe there are already good tools to create fallout 4 cloth physics?

There isn't any tools available off top of head to do cloth physics with. Most armors and hairs just copy from Bethesda and leave it at that. With this I could see a wider range of use if it proves to work.

I might poke at trying it myself on some hairs since the physics situation is a major demotivator in working on hair as hair loves to clip the body the worst ways. It'd be nice to have long hair that doesn't clip into the body at every possible movement.

In the creation kit in the tools folder. bgs nif exporter - a set of bgs plugins for 3ds 2013, 2014. There are all the developer tools for bone cloth. I tried to figure it out with DeepSeek, but it's tedious. Although, it is possible. Deep Seek can suggest a general direction, quite right. I figured out with DeepSeek with the physics of havok (ragdoll, suspended objects with physics), but there are no detailed instructions. In general, yes, it is possible if you have 3ds 2013 or 2014.
