calranthe Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 After corrupting and increasing the deviancy rating of my Skyrim game by about 500% thank you mod people and then getting my game to a stable place sort of.. I realized that I had not actually played through Skyrim since 2012, you know how it is, new sexy mods come out you spend weeks implementing and trying different things but never settling long enough to actually play through. Once I had all the naughty mods taken care of, looked into ENB and decided to install the 20 HD mods and real vision game now looks amazing. So a new game, new character but before doing some serious fun I decided to install. Wet and Cold Climate of Tamriel Realistic needs Frostfall (hardcore + no quick travel) Enhanced blood The Last altar Interesting NPC's Alternative beginnings I was thinking of SkyRe and better vampires but no idea how they may effect what I already have. Adult mods Sexlab Sexlab submit Sexlab aroused Schlongs of Skyrim Prison overhaul Dangerous nights Sanguine's Debauchery Devious devices + for the masses Estrus Chaurus Did a test run with an old character and I have to say the no quick travel is amazing, to actually have a use for horses and wearing warm clothing in the mountains then pitching a tent to wait out the night, it was amazing fun. Anyone else have experience of these kind of things and any suggestions of things that work okay with the more devious systems.
Pavaux Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I got Requiem 3 days ago and it's pretty amazing. For example, when I was wandering along the the rift I encountered 4 Forsworn. At that stage I was only rank 5 so this encounter would be fatal usually with requiem's super duper damage system (63 damage with a steel sword!). To kill 3 of them in 3 swings with simple luck is totally adrenaline pumping ! And then... well the last one killed me pretty quickly . And due to Bethesda's shitty save system I had to go 20 minutes back to Whiterun! My face ----> So yeah requiem is pretty amazing if you have the patience for it. It even changes what the text looks like. EDIT : Cutting room floor is a fantastic mod and immersive patrols is good if you have the PC for it.
calranthe Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Thank you for the suggestions, cutting room floor looks interesting.
Band_Geek3 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 That is a wonderful suite of immersive mods you have there. But... Convenient Horses! Whistling to your horse just seems right. Also check out Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships Overhauled works nicely with the no fast travel philosophy you're using (as do I!) I crank up the prices on the carriages and mark down the ship prices a bit from my ludicrous carriage numbers (still like 800% of vanilla. I'm paying several thousand gold per trip). It really incentivizes manual travel where you'll have to brave the elements and dangers of the road, though if you're a wealthy traveler then perhaps the convenience is worth paying. I'm also a huge advocate for Immersive First Person view. It's in the Non-Adult section here in the LL forums. It is highly customizable, lightweight, and safe to uninstall if you don't like it (I think). I personally use SkyRe. I love it, but you absolutely must take your time installing it to get Reproccer working correctly. Otherwise you'll add custom clothing and armor with silly high stats and throw off the whole immersive vibe you're going for. The Devious Integration quest is great so far, I haven't finished it yet. Though I'd like to say a word of warning about Estrus Chaurus and Sanguine's Debauchery (btw, grab SD+ if you use debauchery!). Fine mods in their own right, but they are very dense mods and can quickly mess up your save if you don't follow proper uninstall procedures.

I almost gave up this mod when my guy got 1shotted by some archer when wearing light armor. Requiem takes skyrim's combat onto a whole new level. I do wish we could dodge/dodgeroll though like teh witcher 2
