gooser Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I have found a technique that consistently "rescues" me when I regularly have trouble loading saved games. I'd love to hear comments on this (even those of the nature "that's stupid you should really be doing x, y, z"). I normally use Live Another Life, and so when I cannot load a saved game (when it CTD's) I just load the old "Prison Cell" save that I keep around, and after that loads, then I load the problem game save. I'm using a lot of SL mods, I think of total of over a hundred mods, including Skyre, SOS, etc. My theory on how this works is that SOS puts a lot of pressure on the game engine, so loading a simple save game with small Cell, no respawns, etc, allows the runtime to fully initialize before it has to deal with a real saved game. This consistently works for me, nearly 100% of the time. cheers
Rokabur Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Think many people use the coc ctest command. Once a save reaches so many hours played on it loading from the main menu always results in infinite loading screen. I use coc ctest from the main menu and load the save from there and everything works fine.

If you go forward however the save will still CDT. I think this is because the engine is trying to reference data that has changed because of load order or new updates/changes to the mods.
