Jappa123 Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Hello, I'm trying to setup my CK to tweak some mods into my liking, and so far i manage to get plugin loaded by using Creation Kit Platform Extended for Skyrim. Unpacked scripts folder, changed ini's and first mod I wanted to check was Laura Bondage Shop so i moved source files to correct location and then tried to compile script - obviously didn't work because a lot of source files from required mods are missing, most errors were related to zadlibs so i moved DD NG source files into correct location and after that CK crash instantly without any error when clicking "Compile" any idea how to fix it? Thanks
traison Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 (edited) Well the CK is and always has been known for crashing constantly. Some things you can learn to work with, like for instance when you're creating a quest you need to close and reopen the quest window after naming it, if you do anythin else the CK will most likely crash. Another thing to avoid crashing is to only ever have the relevant mods installed when using it. I'm not sure if this is practical/possible on Vortex, but in MO2 you can create a new temporary profile while working on a mod in the CK. More specifically for your issue, I personally do not compile scripts using the CK, it's far too clumsy for that. I'd recommend you either call the Papyrus Compiler directly, or get a GUI to do it for you. My understanding is that there's some to choose from on the Nexus. Edited July 6, 2025 by traison
Jappa123 Posted July 6, 2025 Author Posted July 6, 2025 Hmm thanks! I manage for mod in ck quite a lot few years ago and always inside CK, don't really know how to do it outside CK
