[solved] Skill not advancing after making it Legendary

Another day, another never seen before Skyrim bug.

 

I have made skills Legendary countless times before. They reset to 15, I get back the skill points and I can level them back again.

 

Except now. It is hard stuck at 15. The skill xp bar is full, but the skill does not advance to 16.

 

I tried to nudge it with console commands, Player.AdvSkill Player.SetAV. I also tried the known Experience mod related fix, player.setlevel +1 / -1

 

None of them works. Anyone experienced similar issue? Google could not find mentions of similar issue, so I'm not hopeful.

I think I would start by going through perks and mods with dlls. I'm not sure if perks can do this, but dlls certainly can. So what kind of perks do you have currently (remember that there are hidden ones), and what kind of dlls do you have running? Any skill/level uncappers?

Skyrim Uncapper, but I have used it since LE, never had this issue.

The issue is not with the skill not advancing, it is about not getting Skill Xp. Just for this one single skill, all the other ones (non Legendary ones) are getting skill xp, they level up.

 

I also noticed something weird, when I manually tried to add skill xp:

 

 

What the hell are those IsCurrentFurnitureObj stuffs?

 

 

I also advanced another skill to 100 and made it Legendary (Smithing). It properly advances, so the issue seems to be unique to the Destruction skill.

Is this the same as "Skyrim Skill Uncapper for SE and AE"? Skyrim Skill Uncapper is capable of doing what you describe, and I wouldn't at this point assume there wasn't something that broke in it after the skill was made legendary. I use this mod myself to block xp gain from non-combat skills, but I haven't tried making one of these skills legendary yet.

That string is found in po3_LightPlacer.dll and po3_PapyrusExtender.dll. May want to query those for what it means.

Update: Since then, another skill got bugged when I made it Legendary, the Lockpicking. I just used player.setav to improve them when I felt it was time.

 

Now I "reached" 100 again in Destruction and I realized that I can make it Legendary again. I saved and tried, and to my surprise, now I can gain xp for Destruction. It was a bit weird, because from 15 to 16 it took a long time, but after that it went much faster.

 

So somehow it fixed itself.
