I truly want Paralives to succeed but some people are acting like just because it’s an indie team doesn’t mean they can’t receive criticism or feedback for the game even if it’s negative but critical. People just want sure that they are getting their moneys worth. It was the same thing when people were expressing their opinions about the art style especially if they didn’t like it, they were raising the pitchforks.

Considering how many people are slamming it for not being the exact same as a 12 year old game with around a grand's worth of dlc from a major publisher, this level of defensiveness is completely understandable.

Especially since a, it's an early access game from a 15 person studio and b, it's half the price that The Sims 4 was at launch.

Accounting for inflation, TS4 was $80 at launch, Paralives is $40 and has, gotta be honest, pretty much the same amount of content.

I played it as soon as I could and i'll be honest, though it does look like an early access game in many ways, i think its a pretty damn good game already. I lost several hours to it just messing around with it.

i think mods for it will be very soon coming along and i cant wait to see the Lovers Lab Paralives stuff that is sure to appear soon. I think the comic book graphics are a fun little detail, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone finds a way to reskin it if required.
