Outfit removes overlays/tats

I have been trying to get the Twilek outfit from Cloud (patreon) to work for my character.

The outfit itself fits perfectly after being built in bodyslide, but I noticed that the outfit removes/hides the tats and overlays on my character. this only happens when I wear the outfit, and the tats reappear when I switch to a different outfit.

I have narrowed the issue down to being the included reference body in the mod. The reference body is loaded as a part of the armour, and as such it replaces the in game body when I equip the outfit.

I have tried to work it out myself in the outfit studio, I have tried replacing the reference (which changed nothing), removing the reference (turned the body invisible, but the armor was visble).

I cant for the life of me figure out how to fix this problem, without ruining the outfit.

If anyone has seen this issue before and/or knows how to solve it, I will be very thankful.

A bit late but if you see this or if anyone else has this problem I have the fix for you. Your Body that you want the overlays to to show up on while wearing the armor needs to be placed above all other pieces in the nif. Here is an example of an order that overlays will NOT work :

Chest Armor

Shoulder Armor

Panty Armor

3ba BODY

To fix it you would need to move 3ba to the top of the armor pieces so in the nif it looks like this :

3ba Body

Chest Armor

Shoulder Armor

Panty Armor

To do this open the nif in nifskope, target the body BSTriShape and hit cntrl+up arrow keys. Keep hitting CNTRL+up arrow until the body is the first in the list, and then save the nif. Your body overlays will now show up on that piece of armor on the correct body area that is not covered by a piece of armor. The person who made that armor added the body last, so it is last in the list and is what is causing your problem.

Hope this helps and have fun.

Quick edit to add : You can also just fix this using outfit studio. Load the outfit up and remove everything BUT the body, this will have just a body and nothing else. Now without starting a new project, open the outfit again to your existing project. You will have two bodies, one at the top that was the only thing left from before, and one at the bottom from the original. Simply remove the one at the bottom. This will keep everything the same but have the body placed at the top. Now just save and you are good to go.

Possible! I did some more testing; it seems it doesn't affect all armors, but a good chunk of them. Steel Plated and Nordic Carved armors both have the issue, but Dwarven armor, for some reason, does not.

I'm going to give this a try. I had sought help for a similar problem but different armor long ago. This solution was never suggested and might be the reason why everything looked normal but still wasn't working.

EDIT: No BSTrishape for the outfit I'm trying to fix. sigh.... There is an NiTrishape for the body and that one being shifted appears to have solved the problem. ^-^

So I have a question. Sometimes when wearing outfits that are slightly transparent, overlays disappear from certain angles. Would this solution work for that as well? Or different problem?
