redeyesandlonghair Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I like those "weapons on back" mods where you sheath your weapon on your back. Problem is, they require that you replace your skeleton.nif with theirs, which of course will not work with LAPF. Does anyone know of a way that I can get my 1 handed weapons sheathed on my back while using LAPF? Perhaps someone has made a 1HWOB version of the LAPF skeleton.nif?
kingkong Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 you can add the needed bones from one skeleton to another by copie and past in file.nif if you do not know how post the 2 skeletons by renaming them and will do the rest (normally it should not create any probleme)

kingkong Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 i ask just the skeletons because i am not on my computer where is my game it was a way to have them for a fast task instead of waiting for ever a download ! never mind i hope that it did the trick unzip and drop the data in oblivion folder and you should have any no problemes with any stretching or crashs due to missing bones no good see post 8 and for download see post 6 thanks to Fejeena

I think it's because for the mod, the skeleton actually moves the bones that the weapons are connected to, rather than adding new bones. That's why the mod doesn't have an .esp, since connecting the weapons to a different bone would require that.

BackWeaponCompatible-39860-V2.zip = old outdated Universal Skeleton with two side weapon bones, the original bone and a new on back bone. How does the game knows which bone it must use ? Have you tried that Skeleton ? It is working? So I made two Versions, with one and with two bones. Skeletons.7z Hope one works Edit: Skeleon in Folder "one side weappon Bone" works in game, tested, looks like the original Skeleton Mod ( weapon Position is the same ) Do not use the Skeleton in the "two side weappon Bones" Folder ! (but I don't like the postion of the weapon) The other Skeleton with two side weapon bones (kingkongs and my) does not work, the weapon is on the back but the Player draws the weapon from the side position, so he has no weapon in his Hand (one Hand weapon Animations are played but with invisible/no weapon) 1 sideweapon bone 2 sideweapon bones Why are the weapons upside down?

That's why the mod doesn't have an .esp, since connecting the weapons to a different bone would require that. look inside the folder if the skeleton is named 'skeleton lapf + bones added' than sorry my fault the first package i have forget to rename it you just need to rename it "skeleton" and "skeletonbeast" All your skeletons were correctly named and all the file structure was perfect, so that wasn't the issue
fejeena Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Wasn't the original weapon on back Skeleton with upside down weapon? Kingkong and my Skeleton have not changed the new side weapon bone. Edit: I checked the Nexus Pictures, the weapon is upside down. And the Position is the same as kingkongs and my Skeleton. See my Pictures and the Nexus Pictures.

Position of the weapon is like the original Skeleton, weapon is upside down (see Nexus Pictures, see my Pictures (the two bones Picture is your Skeleton) In your Skeleton is only the old side weapon bone wrong, delete it and it is perfect in game.

redeyesandlonghair Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Strange, I must have linked the wrong mod then, cause I don't remember the weapons being at that weird upside down angle, but rather at the right side up, behind the shoulder way you would expect.. All right, I guess the actual way I'm looking for isn't possible anymore. Thank you for your effort.
