XNA Posted May 10, 2025 Posted May 10, 2025 (edited) EDIT: Ok i seem to have solved the issue. Apparently with AMD the Windows setting: "Optimizations for windowed games" under Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Advanced graphics is the culprit. Disabling this pretty much restores the previous performance.  Hi. If anyone here has an AMD GPU can you share your performance?  I was on Nvidia before and moved to AMD now and with the same installation of VX is get noticeably worse performance than before. Like half of what it was. Performance now barely crosses 30fps when before it was 60+  Im using VX V10.1.00p. Hook5 paid version. Win11 24H2 fully updated. AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT with 25.5.1 (latest) drivers. I doubt it's the game version or Windows as these were just fine before the card swap. My old card was Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Ti.  Best i can tell is that my 9070 XT is not running on full clocks. GPU clock seems to be below 2Ghz (should be 3,4Ghz) and power usage is below 100W (should be ~360W). I already checked windows settings and manually added both the TK17_Launcher and the TK17-158.001 executable so that Windows runs them on high performance mode not power saver.  I also made a custom profile for the game in AMD Adrenalin control panel, but the game seems to ignore all settings. Otherwise i could at least use driver level upscaling or frame generation to improve performance unless someone, someday comes out with DLSS/FSR/XeSS mod for the game. DDK33 Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 maybe not your case These 3 settings have a huge impact on performance
XNA Posted May 13, 2025 Author Posted May 13, 2025 Unfortunately changing these settings, saving and reloading the room made no difference. The only setting that meaningfully increased performance (when disabled) was Shadows. Sun Rays too, to a lesser extent.
DDK33 Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 so sorry I have an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650 Everything is fine
