Lucy in the Sky Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hello, I would greatly appreciate if anyone could help me with this. I want to add sacks and bottles to a piece of armor through Nifskope. Usually when I mix pieces of armor together, I just copy the "Nitrishape" from one armor, transfer to another and then make sure they share the same Partition on "BSDismemberSkinInstance". But items from the "clutter" folder of skyrim do not have this branch. I tried simply copying their Nitrishape, but they do not appear on the armor while in game. Can anyone help me here? Thank you in advance. PS: I'm also having a problem on how my Nifskope renders the textures.... It's almost pitch black, even though I have the color setting on the "Sunny day" preset. What could be causing this?
OnlyHazeRemains Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Clutter is not rigged. You'd have to import, position and rig it in blender. Color Settings in Blender:
Lucy in the Sky Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Thanks, I'll download Blender and try it out.
OnlyHazeRemains Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Here, have my blender folder. Saves you some hassle. I think you still need to install PyFFI, but i'm not sure. So better just install regular 2.49 Setup (important, Blender 2.49 only ) and copy my files over it. Sorry for not saying all this in the first post, i was very tired and in grumpy-grandpa mode.

Wow, thank you very much! I really appreciated this, specially considering this came from your own initiative. Thank you
Lucy in the Sky Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 How is it going? Hey there, I haven't looked at it well enough in these last days. But I'm planning on trying it out this weekend. I appreciate that you're looking for feedback, I'll be sure to return it here. Thank you PS: I could swear I had answered this question days ago. I guess somehow my reply didn't go through.
OnlyHazeRemains Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Since Blender can be a bit daunting, i could show you the ropes in skype. Im in EU timezone though.
Ryu Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I'm also curious about rigging clutter as element of clothing/armor. Is it done simply as any other object being part of the armor or do I for example need to define the SkinDismemberPartitions differently (not 32_BODY, but something else)?
TheOniNinja Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I might grab that folder too if you don't mind. I've been trying forever to modify armor for skyrim like I used to for oblivion but unfortunately nifskope can only do so much. I can never manage to assign/fix the material definition correctly after export and everything always comes out too glossy when I get it in game. Could you perhaps suggest any decent tutorials that cover those particular steps in detail?

You'd weight it to the corresponding bones and add it to SPB_32_BODY. I might grab that folder too if you don't mind. Depends on what you want to add it to. If it's supposed to show up on your standart armor it's indeed 32.
