LAP+ animations not playing correctly and can't ever end

Hi, it's another of those help requests.  I remember having done all this around 2016 on my previous PC and having no trouble playing the game, having sex with my favorite npc ladies, etc.  I decided to return to this thanks to the remake getting released, but this time I can't get Lovers animations to work.  Well, they work, but only somewhat.  Masturbation works fine and I can end it, or it ends on its own when the sex power or whatever meter depletes.  I fall down after, then kip up fine.  I try testing sex with an NPC though using LAP+, and all I get are 4 cycled foreplay animations with what seems like 2 stages each, I can't proceed ever, despite having progression set to manual, and the animation never ends.  I have to close the game.  Setting random animations in the settings does nothing.

I know I've installed LAPF and its plugins correctly.  I've banged my head against the wall with the load order.  It works the same before and after any change I make, and with each new game.  The tutorial is getting really old.  It seems like I need another plugin or an OBSE plugin or somesuch that will make LAPF read the damn ini files.  Each new game that I make to test I have to set the Lovers settings in game manually, despite having the settings I want already saved in the ini files; and I suspect that's also the reason that LAPF isn't working like it's supposed to.  It seems like it's just not seeing the ini files at all.  My install folder is through steamapps/common, but I have it on my D drive and away from Program Files.  It should be reading the ini files to see that the animations are there.  I'm baffled and annoyed.  Please, I beg for help before I pull my hair out.

LAP+ ? - What is it?

 

Basically, I made a mod for futa, where the character dances or pulls a pepper (several animations from Skyrim, they can be replaced with yours)
And after. paired animation of Lovers begins, but only with a companion who is in follow mode.

I think the meaning is the same. but there is just time control of the period of this scene and that's it.

Any animation, idle replacer? Maybe with blockhead ?

Have you tried your game without other Mods?

Keep only MaleBodyReplacerV5.esp, disable all no-Lovers Mods . Check if you don't have animation replacer, blockhead overwrites. Then test with a new game.

 

Your load order seems to be fine.

 

INI: with a new game/ Player, you have to do the settings again.  In the ini are the default setting, your setting are in your save file.

Only few Lovers Mods write new ini files. e.g. Lovers Joburg can save 3 Custom ini  and I think LoversRapers can have one. These files you can load in game with a new Player. (I think you need Pluggy )

If you want to change the default ini you have to open the ini and do your changes (backup the original) then you have your new default ini  that is used by every new game/Player.

I used to have the recommended zhi or whatever it was called animations enabled.  I thought that was the problem, so I disabled that, started a new game, and have the same issue.  I have Blockhead, I have Pluggy, my DMRA body and BBB work.  I've gotten into the Imperial City in one of these saves before I found out that the Lovers Adult Play + sex isn't working.  I found Tifa and another modded follower.  I had a dialog option with an innkeeper in Pell's Gate to proposition her offering 100 gold but didn't test that, and can't now since I removed the animation mod.  It broke the Lovers animations further in that save. 

I could advance past the Emperor's body in one of these new games and test the other Lovers plugins, see if it's just LoversAdultPlayPlus dialog-based sex animation that's the issue, for now.  I will say I don't know if I've tested starting a new game with a vanilla race yet either.  I've done this dance as both an Angel race and the FF race, and neither wanted to equip the default strapon I set for them to use either, nor did the animations work.  But when I switched roles during an attempt with another female modded npc, she equipped the strapon but also didn't use it.  Does LAPF need a plugin to play nice with modded races maybe?

My point with the ini thing is also what you said.  I've already gone into them and set them how I want.  The ini settings should be the defaults, I shouldn't need to set the game to use those settings each new game if they're the defaults, right?  It's like the game somehow isn't seeing the ini files.  That could also theoretically explain why LAPF isn't using any other animations, right?  Is maybe the ini folder in the wrong place?  Or just a certain LAPF plugin set to draw them from a different location?  Does maybe LAPF call for the animations from a different folder location than Oblivion/data/ini?

LoversAdultPlayPlus.  One of the built-in features to LAPF now.  The "Hey, I'd like to ask you something" and then "How about a roll in the hay" or "How'd you like to fuck me?" dialog options.

*edit* On the newest save I already had, I tried using another dialog option to proposition the innkeeper and it did equip me with the strapon this time, but didn't play any animation at all.  Still the same 2 stages, but this time we were just idly standing inside each other with no animation at all and if I pressed the change positions button the npc just rotated in place, until she was at a weird angle with her boobies sticking out of my girl's strapon.  I also tried running Oblivion.exe as administrator and I just get a strange application load error and it doesn't load anything.

*edit edit* I'm getting spammed with a script error for 030090ea in loverswithpk.esm in the console now that I've checked it.  That may be able to explain why Lovers animations aren't working, but how would I fix that?  Am I missing a pre-req or something?

I see you still have not read my yellow Link You test with old saves.

You always test with a new game !!!!!!!!

Not with an old save. Bugs can be in your save files. You can not test changes with an old save !!!

 

All you need  you see in my yellow Link. All you need before you install LAPF.  LAPF works with race Mods. I use a race Mod for my player.

I once had the problem that someone was too lazy to read. After some days and many posts he told me that the game was installed wrong.

 

xx0090ea   it is the OBSE check.  Lovers can not find OBSE.  Yes without OBSE nothing works in Lovers.

If you Lovers Mods works  you can start an try to change things in the ini files ( Data\ini  folder )  Write down what changes you make in the game, and  add the changes in the ini .  Settings you did in game with "Sexual Exploits (Lovers Settings) " spell you add in the " Lovers with PK.ini "

Changes with other Mod setting spells you add in the right ini.

Some Mods do not have in game settings spells, they only use the ini . These ini files usually have explanations in the ini.

 

Then you can install other Mods.

Always unpack Mods before you install Mods. Are the folders right?  Are in animation, armor/clothes, race Mods any skeletons that can overwrite the LAPF skeleton? Delete the skeletons before you instal the Mod.

 

All in my yellow Link, step by step.  Also the load order, wrong load order and  some Mods don't work, and the whole Lovers system can get messed up.

 

And now I'll stop posting because you don't seem to read or take advice.

Hmm... I don't understand what kind of error this is (I have an old version).

But maybe your problematic mod was made with the old system (the new and old have different indexes of the animation description array, including their call numbers - scene start).
You need to try with the old version (after saving your current version of Lovers-core)

Who told you I tested with an "old save?"  I certainly didn't.  I used the most recent save, from a new game I started last night, that was still in the tutorial before the sewers.  Before anything could have put "bugs in my save."  Since I HAD read your yellow link several times.  It didn't help.  It doesn't help.  In the last 8 pages of this forum I read every similar issue and all you've done is regurgitate that yellow link stuff and force the OP to figure it out on their own, and in every case it's been something unrelated.  Regardless, no matter which save I use, the test was the very first sexual interaction in that save, since I have to close the game just to end them so I can try to continue playing.  You know, the whole problem I'm having and reason I'm here?  Also, I did say I already have OBSE, since BBB works.  All these words (insulting my intelligence and proving only that it is in fact you that refuses to read) did was confirm my suspicions that Lovers isn't reading from the ini files as it should, and worse, isn't recognizing my OBSE, which again is clearly working or BBB would not be, nor would masturbation.  There's also no reason for you to have brought up load order again, since in your previous post you said my load order was fine... proving again that I had read your link already.  I've spent 2 and a half days working on this install before coming here after exhausting all other options.  Assuming that I can't read, simply because you chose not to even read the little bit I said, is unhelpful at best and insulting to your own intelligence at worst. 

It seems that the LAPF install I got from here was corrupted somehow.  I can try reinstalling LAPF again, and wasting another hour or two playing through the tutorial again before even meeting an npc that I could possibly test on, and seeing how that goes.  In the mean time, would anyone else please actually try to help somehow?

Old version of what?  LAPF?  ARE there older versions of LAPF floating around still?

BBB works without OBSE

Oblivion Script Extender = OBSE

BBB are only animation reeplacers.  If you do  archive invalidate with SkyBSA   then  BBB  needs OBSE. If you use other  archive invalidate methods, then not.

 

The xx0090ea  error is the Lovers with PK.esm  OBSE script check error.  And if you read the old posts you know I uploaded a Lovers with PK.esm without the script check. No more error message.

I  also wrote  with Windows 11 or/and xOBSe there are problems with the OBSE script check.  OBSE works but the Lovers script still says "no OBSE"   All you can do is use my esm.

I do not use Windows 11 and no xOBSE and never saw the error message in my game.

Other people only had the OBSE error message that crash the game after some time. But animations and sex works.

 

But using my esm without the OBSE check will not fix your animations.  

But problems with non-working animations have not been there for a long time. And it was always wrong installed game or wrong load order  and one time is was a Blockhead idle ani replacer.  And it seems that everyone has got their game running.  There is nothing more I can do to help. It's worked for over 10 years, all collected in the yellow link, so it seems the problem lies with you.  Windows , administrator rights  ? ? 

If OBSE works in your game, and you have Pluggy,   Lovers can read the ini files,  What happens when sex starts? (I know, no animations)  but the player strip clothes?  And if you change the strip settings does the new settings are used ? If yes then OBSE works, Lovers Scripts works.  If nothing happens when sex starts, and the player doesn't take off any clothes and can still move freely, then the Lovers script doesn't seem to be working at all. OBSE is not working.

 

And if something is not working and you can not find the problem you have to start again and test every step  so you can find out when it stops working. Or maybe this time it works.

I think you already tested your game without all Mods disabled, except Lovers ( and MaleBodyReplacerV5.esp )

If it still not work it can be a Mod/replacer without an esp.  You can uninstall all Mods , replacer , . . so you have a original game.  I think that a new installation is easier and faster, and you are sure that you only have original data. 

 

And testing sex with NPCs.

You use Adult play Plus. The NPC must like you.

In game you open the console, click on the NPC,  and enter

ModDisposition player 100

hit Enter key

Now even a virgin with have sex with you. ( they need disposition 90 )

Many Lovers Mods are not ready for Modmanager. You can not use the zip. 7z and unpack it in the game folder.  First unpack, select what you want, then install manually or  create a Omod or pack a new zip

And your Antivirus program. Set Oblivion folder to the Exception List.  Antivirus programs have already brought down the construction set and the game for me. Now always in the Exception List. 

 

I think that was all the possible problems.

LAPF is update Lovers with PK. Yes there are old versions.  and very old version. Lovers Mods will not work with all versions. Even with old Lovers with PK there were Mods that did not work anymore with "newer" Lovers versions.

Lovers with PK was always a Japanese translation.   LAPF is the updated version from Loverslab made by gregathit , first not japanese version.

I figured it out.  It was Lovers Extender, and since the OBSE check was mentioned, I reinstalled OBSE with the latest version from silverlock and that solved the Lovers error spam.  I had been using a version from Nexus with a supposedly higher version number.  Credit where it's due, I couldn't have solved that part without your help, so thanks.

I only used Extender a few hours for testing with old Lovers with PK, wasn't my thing,

But Mod was updated to LAPF

In the Lovers setting spell: you need to first switch, to manual mode. Not automatic progress through the sex stages.  <<< I guess that was your problem.  Sex does not start if "Automatic"  . During rape  no extender/foreplay ! It is skipped because rape is always automatic.

 

But that's why I always say, test one mod at a time until you know all the settings and the mod works the way you want it to. Lovers Mods have too many settings, new spells, ini files,...  even with only 2 new Lovers Mods you sometimes don't know which behavior, spells, ...  was caused/comes from which mod.
