Borderlands 3

I have had several people ask me if I mod Borderlands 3, and my answer is always no, since there are no tools to do it with, let alone instructions.

But they have a point, and Borderlands absolutely needs adult mods, no doubt.

In all honesty, BL3 is my least favorite Borderlands game.  Mostly because of both the Calypso Twins and Ava.  There were lots of points I kept hoping I could punt all three into The Leviathans mouth.  I was also a Maya main for Borderlands 2 and they did her dirty in BL3.😒

So yeah a part of me has high hopes for BL4 but I'm waiting until it goes live and I start seeing LEGIT reviews.  Tired of pre-ordering games and discovering that old Atari games were better in some cases.😖

There was a fun third person mod for borderlands 3 that I enjoyed. I am surprised that the devs don't let players choose between first and third person. They had animations for it which was interesting.

Might not be possible anymore with the latest Take Two EULA agreement.  I myself am debating uninstalling all of my Borderlands games because of it.  Personally I think its to far reaching, might even get Take Two and Gearbox sued due to legal violations even.

For those who are TL;DR it basically means if you make your own levels, mods even YouTube videos you wave the right to claim them for monetization.  You're basically agreeing to a license I think, you don't actually OWN your own copy of any Borderlands game.  This stinks of, "you will own nothing.  Happiness will be mandatory.  Resistance will be punished...severely," vibe.  This is dirty on Take Two's part imho.😒

I'm hoping its just me being to conspiratorial.  I don't want to just purge my Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel games.😭

Possibly yeah.  Take Two gets butthurt whenever a modder does a better job than them at adding quality of life improvements after all.😒

Well this is LL so yeah I figure that was the point of the thread.  I love Maya and seeing her wearing nothing but a smile would brighten my day.  Sadly I don't think that's going to be possible now with Take Two's Big Brother mindset.😢

 

UPDATE:  Eh I caved.  Didn't like it but I love the Borderlands franchise.  Never really looked into modding anyways really, aside from maybe using a save editor to give my current playthrough 99999999999999 double dollars.  Dying a lot on UVHM gets unreal in the price tag.😱

Maya has that effect on people, after all. But yes, with Take Two watching everything like a hawk, those dreamy days of ‘just a smile’ might stay fantasies for now. Still, you never know what surprises the future might hold.
