Brand new (to me) autonomy issue

I have a weird issue that just started...

My sims will sometimes autonomously initiate sex (the dialog pops up, and I choose yes)... but the action sometimes never occurs - it just disappears, and they go on and do something else like nothing happened. This only happens sometimes but enough for it to be noticeable.

I've been playing with WW for years, I have a default WW profile that I've created and tweaked (especially after updates) to perfection for my game, and I've never had this problem before.

This just started happening on a clean game using my regular saved sims who have all the wicked attributes that I've been using for years.

Has anyone else had this start happening recently?

This is a game issue, I think. Best way is turn off Autonomy in your household members, so you have full control in Sims 4 game option. Sadly, your Sims won't do random stuff. You could also change the Sex Initiation settings in WW By choosing "Instant" instead of "Talk and Walk", if you don't want to disable in-game Autonomy in Sims 4 game option.

That sucks... I really don't want to turn off either of those features. 😔
Since it's random, I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

I played about 20 hours of saving and suddenly the same thing started happening to me. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to it at the beginning and so I don't remember how it started. But I refuse to put up with it. This happens to me at least 2/4 times. Maybe 2/5.

Hello, this is one of the most important things in the game, and autonomous sex is broken? I hope turbodriver at least has some information about this.

Indeed, I've noticed that when I ask Sims for sex between two people, sometimes they don't necessarily do it, or are even canceled by another action from the game, forcing them to retry the request. Which means the game takes over from WW, which takes second place in the player's commands. We should ask Turbodriver to look into this, and perhaps this detail can be corrected.

FR

I don't get it anymore. It seems like this bug is some kind of game state that can be fixed by restarting.
Or something like that. I haven't tested it much and I could be wrong. Because I haven't had this bug yet.

I've noticed that if I insist by retrying the request, it ends up happening. It's like the Sim has a list of things to do, and if you ask him something else, he doesn't take it into account, except that at some point he has nothing left to do, so he does what he's asked.
Yesterday in my game, I asked a Sim to have sex with his girlfriend. I had to try three times before he decided to do it.
It's not necessarily annoying, but it forces us to monitor whether they do it or not before moving on to something else...

It's not a question of whether it's annoying or not. It may not annoy you at all, but it's a bug and it's a bug that needs to be fixed, it simply breaks the main function of the game.

It may not even be a bug with WW. I've had Basemental actions randomly cancelling on me forever. The other day my acting sim tried to rehearse a scene, and it cancelled immediately, so that's not even a mod action. It could just be one of those things that sometimes happens because the game itself is less than optimal at this point.

I understand what you mean. But WW's cancellations are something else.

Same thing happens to me and previously fussy locations and objects didn't happen very often.

But seems to happen more when sims are in a group chatting or sitting on a sofa watching TV.

3-4 sims sitting at an outdoor table on home lot, fails mostly.

Even when there are other private rooms on the lot with objects like beds, etc.

House has 2 main brs with double beds, 1 br with 2 single beds.

10 small brs each with bunk beds.

2 large community bathrooms, 1 for showers, 1 for toilets.

Also has a separate dining room with a sofa added, 2 living rooms with TVs.

24 sims can sleep on my lot.

The difference is it's all on one floor.

Go to the Goths house and sims will travel up 3 floors to have sex no problem.

This isn't a game problem IMO.

WW now uses room scores and object scores to pick locations and I liked the old way better.

Wish we had a switch added to disable them.

1M and 1F sims in a house and autonomy works 99%.

1M & 2-3F sims still works mostly.

Even autonomous MC WooHoo still works pretty well.

Once more visitors start showing up WW autonomy gets picky.

Autonomous MC WooHoo also stops.

SIMS UNIVERISTY DORM (1M+8F Roommates)

Sims standing around, alone, or with 1-2 others, autonomy works usually.

Roommates & Visitors sitting in the common area watching TV autonomy is usually a fail.

Certain other sims seem to have a higher success rate for autonomy than some others but I haven't figured out why yet.

If/when your player sim is alone and another sim comes to them autonomy usually works.
