So, I wanted to see if I could code Deltarune Chapter 1, so that an enemy could alternate between either male and female sprites, instead of just having either male or female sprites only. So I decided to try it out with the enemy Rudinn as a test, and I created something feasible.

 

Keep in mind, I have absolutely zero coding experience in GameMaker.

 

Before that, I created a new embedded texture with the female sprites of Rudinn inside, then I made new PageItems and sprites (spr_diamond_overworld_female, spr_diamondm_idle_female, spr_diamondm_hurt_female, spr_diamondm_spared_female) making sure to copy the properties of the sprites containing my nude male sprites (spr_diamond_overworld, spr_diamondm_idle, spr_diamondm_hurt, spr_diamondm_spared) and the properties of their respective PageItems to their new respective female counterparts.

 

 

Here is the code that I changed/added. Just to reiterate, 1094, 1095, 1096, and 1097 are the number IDs of the sprites that I added into Deltarune Chapter 1's data.win file which are spr_diamondm_hurt_female, spr_diamondm_idle_female, spr_diamondm_spared_female, spr_diamond_overworld_female) respectively.

WOAH! This is awesome! I wouldve never known how to even begin something like this. I wonder if a similar process could be backported to Undertale for its enemy monsters.

Alright so, I managed to do something similar in Undertale with just the enemy Froggit.

 

I made 3 new sprites and 2 new objects for the ocassion making sure to copy the properties and collision masks of the regular sprites and objects to these new sprites and objects. The three new sprites are spr_froglegs_female, spr_froggit_female, spr_smallfrogbullet_female, and the two new objects are obj_froglegs_female, and blt_leapfrog_female.

I'm not sure if this code would universally work with every monster since there are enemies and monsters that are composed of one or more sprites, and since Froggit is made out of two different sprites, I'm assuming that the code will have to be different for enemies that are made out of only one sprite, 3 sprites, etc.

 

This was honestly tough to do, as I had a problem where the object obj_froglegs would change its sprite after I hit Froggit. It turns out that if you hit Froggit, the instances of obj_froghead and obj_froglegs would be destroyed and created again, so in order to make the sprite stay the same, I had to make it so that if you hit them, the instances of obj_froghead and obj_froglegs would be hidden and made visible again, rather than destroyed and created again, I also had to make sure that the instances of the objects would only be created once during a battle.

 

I also managed to make the frog projectile's genitalia change according to which gender Froggit is. 

 

I couldn't think of a good lewd female design for Froggit, considering that their black belly blends in with the background, so I just made the Froggit's second belly mouth open, think of it as a placeholder.

Edit: I also updated the code that I made, that changes the sprites of Rudinn in Delatrune Chapter 1, so that it works for every single encounter that Rudinn shows up in.

 

For that, I made a new object called obj_diamondenemy_female, with its object ID being 353, and tweaked the code 

 

Here's the new code that I added/changed, and the new object (obj_diamondenemy_female) that I added.

Sorry, I've been taking an extended break from modding. It began to feel like a chore, not to mention I just generally don't have as much time as I did a few months ago. While a lot of work for UNDERTALE has been done, the reason why I'm hesitant to release any kind of demo is that no one character is completely finished. The closest is Frisk, but you wouldn't even be able to go through the Ruins without your immersion shattering due to Toriel's sprites being unfinished (resulting in them both becoming clothed when holding hands or hugging). When I resume work on the mod, I'll make it a priority to at least have the Ruins finished and ready for a release.

I'm absolutely don't mind with that, you can use whatever you want  and I pretty sure that I use one of you work as a reference also if you really want to credit my name just use Joe mama that will be funny

made these sprites for toriel's BASIC sprites for chapter 1 and i did not bother with the hand holding scene sprites as it lasts only 8-9 secounds so i skipped them but feel free to make it yourself :3 had fun with editing these
