I haven't modded Skyrim in some years now and I'm having a presumably easy issue to solve for most, but I installed TAWOBA and my problem comes when I equip a bikini top it'll unequip the bottom thong and vice versa. I'm assuming for some reason they're using the same armor slot or some mod is making them use the same.

So I'm not sure if I should just change the armor slots or is there a mod that would easily do that. I kind of just need a direction to go in to fix it.

Could be either SOS, or like you said they're for some reason sharing the same equipment slots. Remember that equipment slots need to be set in 3 locations: ARMA and ARMO records and the partitions in the NIF.

As a long time TAWOBA user, I don't remember having an issue like this. Maybe some other mode overwrites the TAWOBA? Which TAWOBA are you using btw? There are far too many variations if you ask me. :)

That being said, I do have a TAWOB_SOS_Overrides_ESL.esp in the load order, but it does only add SOS keywords, doesn't affect slots.

That's the issue with SOS I mentioned. If you add SOS_Revealing to all tops this issue with SOS most likely goes away.

Edit: Tops in this case refering to all ARMO records with ARMA records and meshes occupying equipment slot 32.

It's because vanilla treats every body armor as full body one (assign it to both sots, 32 and 56 52) for no reason that I can comprehend.

To solve that problem, just mark piece of armor in question as "revealing" using SOS MCM (while wearing it or while NPC under a croshair wears it), or permanent solution - add to that piece a keyword "SOS_Revealing", via xEdit, but be warned that if that piece is already marked in savegame as revealing via SOS MCM you may be back in square one yet this time without possibility to "remove" it same way as it has been added. In that case only solution, only way to remove it, is to "clean all revealing armors" which obviously will dump not only this piece but all others as well.

In my opinion and experience - it's way better to use keyword approach (as it transfer between savegames fluently and work one done is never lost) as a basis, and MCM only as really rare exception, or don't use it at all, as every work done via MCM is lost when savegame is abandoned.

Sorry it was like six in the morning for me when I made this, so I'm replying later, but it was SOS and setting the top to revealing fixed the issue. I figured it would be really simple, but I appreciate all the help and advice I can try out.
