monsta88 Posted April 16, 2025 Posted April 16, 2025 (edited) Hi there, please educate me, why is this red? And how can I fix it? I can't copy the entries from OBIS into OBIS Loot, the option is not available when i try to drag'n'drop them there. Also, I don't think that would be the proper solution. Thanks in advance, M Edited April 17, 2025 by monsta88 Solved

Colors are explained here, assuming these are still correct: https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Guide:XEdit#Reading,_Analysis_and_Manipulation To put it short, its red because the value was removed then put back again. 2 hours ago, monsta88 said: I can't copy the entries from OBIS into OBIS Loot, the option is not available when i try to drag'n'drop them there. I would start by making sure OBIS SE is a master of OBIS Loot SE. If its still refusing, type in the form id by hand. 2 hours ago, monsta88 said: Also, I don't think that would be the proper solution. In this case it would.

I can only edit the other 2. What i could do is to edit the Bashed patch and modify the Level to 2. It creates a separate Leveled List entry and solves the conflict.

Now everything is green related to OBIS and OBIS Loot. Edited April 18, 2025 by monsta88

I guess it might be worth mentioning that the list entry missing from OBIS Loot SE is not necessarily a conflict: "Bashed Patch, 0" puts it back, so everything that expects that specific record to be there should be working fine. I suppose what my point is is that I wouldn't care so much about the colors shown by xEdit. I guess the proof being that I do not use any automatic patch generators, I do my patching by hand, and I still don't know what the colors mean. What I do is treat anything that isn't green or white as "may wanna look at this one". The real problem here would be the entry count difference in "Bashed Patch, 0" compared to OBIS SE. If for some reason something expects this LVLI to have 4 entries, then "Bashed Patch, 0" is actually your problem because it changes the count to 6. Bad example perhaps, but the point is, just because its red it doesn't mean its a problem. A conflict is not really a problem if the result of that conflict is what you expected and wanted. Thank you for clarifying, that's exactly why I posted the OP, it seemed fine to me, because OBIS Loot wasn't losing anything, but it still was red.
