Coming from skyrim modding, I have so many questions...

1. What are the body and skin replacers everybody using? In skyrim it's 3ba and correspond skins, but I can't find a equivalent for sims4.

2. For skin it seems to have default version and overlay version, I tried some default skin mod but it doesn't seem to work, I suspect that it was overridden by the skin that comes with WickedWhims. Since sims4 don't need a mod organizer, how do I adjust the load order to change the mod priority？

3. For overlay version, I can manage to apply the skin to my own character, but is there a way to apply the skin to all NPCs in my game?

 

Sims 4 seems easy to mod at first, but i've been so confused about things... also unlike skyrim where everything is on nexus or LL, sims 4 mods are scattered everywhere...

1.) Sims is a lot less restrictive when it comes to bodies. The only real problem is finding clothes that'll match a lot of the bodies. Also, avoid "Default Replacement" mods. Not because they're ugly, but because they replace every sim's body/parts, not just your own. Wicked Whims has a body selector, try to use versions built for that if you can.

Most, if not all, creators of these body parts have the option to add them through Wicked Whim's body selector. Which, imo, is better than downloading a default replacement. Though some a "fan made", so other modders create the file that lets you select it through WW.

 

Personally speaking, I like Dumbaby's breasts for when I want them to look like implants. More specifically the "heavy" mesh, or whatever it was called. For "plumper" sims, I use Eve. Otherwise, I use either Allure for smaller bests or the default WW ones. For Penises, I alternate between Pornstar Cock for ridiculously huge ones, Supern4tural's when I want to use the built in size system for Wicked Whims, and Simdulgence's various versions when I want variety.

 

2.) You really don't need to worry about load order, but if you want WW to load first, just add an exclaimation point at the start of the name of the folder.. So: <!WickedWhimsMod>

Also, I recommend keeping things organized, to make it easier to get rid of broken CC and any issues that may crop up. I have a ton of various folders in my mods folder. Just keep in mind, .ts4script files can only be 1 folder deep. So "Mods>!WickedWhimsMod" is the deepest that WW script can be. Any deeper and it stops working.

 

3.) There are mods that let you control what sims wear. I don't know of any mod that lets you put an overlay on every sim.

Hi thanks for the reply! I've already installed Eve by SM Sims and it looks pretty good with it's own skin overlay. The reason I want a default replacer is because I don't want to adjust manually every time I come cross a new NPC sim, especially for the skin, since I don't even know how to change NPC's skin overlay.

 

Sims 4 really has a robust animation system, mouth and penis are all animated. if only skyrim's animation can be this good.

"Shift+Ctrl+C" to open the cheat menu, no quotes.

Then type: "Testingcheats on" (again no quotes, you'll get a prompt to let you know its on)

Then type: "cas.fulleditmode" (no quotes, this will NOT give you a prompt)

 

Using Deaderpool's MCCC, click an NPC, then open the MCCC menu and select "modify in CAS". That'll let you modify NPCs.

 

Though, I can see it being annoying if you want all sims to wear the same overlay. In which case, default is better. Default can have it's issues, but it's better than manually adding it to every sim in the world.

 

MCCC is a really useful Mod. It can let you just paste appearances onto sims, instead of having to edit each one. I'm not sure if the overlays can be copy and pasted, though.

Or you can use replacers. I uploaded some and a savefile so you have it easier to use them.

 

I tried to stay close to the original EA Sims as possible, so they are not too pretty and use less clothing mods.
