Yep. That's exactly what I was talking about. During gameplay, not so noticeable. But when you stop to appreciate her, there it is.

Is it still the case that playing as a Female MC will prevent her appearing in major cutscenes or that some voiced segments will be silent etc...

Yes it's still the case. And this is not likely to be ever updated. When playing as Khazandra (Khazan F), your voice is muted for in-game dialogues where Khazan is supposed to speak with NPCs, and cutscenes are skipped entirely.
