save file picture does not match in game

The picture on the save file is not the same as where i saved. It does load me in the game the correct place, but the picture on the save is delayed or something. Tried to google they all say it is related to taa and depth of field, but both are on in my ini. 

SSE engine fixes is also installed

 

Any idea's?

Update ENB to the latest version if you have it, that's what fixed it for me

Yup, that's annoying.  As I have no visual enhancers installed, I thought it's just one of those vanilla bugs no-one ever talks about.

I have this issue too but I haven't bothered looking into it. The way I'd approach this is by finding a save where the image is wrong, then opening this save with ReSaver.

 

If ReSaver show a different image: The issue is in your UI overhaul mod, such as Dear Diary.

If ReSaver shows the same (incorrect) image: The issue something more complex.

so i did a test with a new character this time without importing a face preset that i made. Sure enough it seems to solved the issue, i think. Once in helgen i configured my mcm one by one and making saves betweem seeing if any of the config causes it. Once done i tried to import the face preset and once out of racemenu and did 2 more saves, it started again. So i think that's where it goes wrong. 

Im going to start over making a new character from scratch and come back if its solved it or not.

After disabling 50+ mods that i installed recently, the problem is still there. I also have read someone saying it also happend on a vanilla game (no mods no skse) which i actually dont believe, because this issue happend just last 2 days on my game and it also did not happend when i played the game few years back. 

 

However i did found out that when entering the menu, back out to game and back to menu to save, it will show the proper thumbnail. 

 

At this point i thought it had to be something that affected the mcm and my thought was mcm helper. But even after disabling that it still happens. So im giving up  

If anyone has a clue feel free to let me know. It probably isnt a big deal as many others has said, but it still bothers. 

 

edit another clue-ish thing i noticed is on my old computer which has 1.5.97 (no backport) if i save a game there, its saving for 2 seconds before i can back out back to the game.  On this version on my current pc, the exe is backported to 1.5.97 but saving here it immediately goes back to the game.
