I'm interested in the Circle of Lust mod's resurrection mechanics so I started voicing the mod.  So far, I only have FemaleSultry, which covers the mistress and one of the followers.  Example attached.  At the moment, this mod should be used as a supplement to enhance some voice types rather then a complete replacement.

Hi, kamithemoon. Is this for the Ostim Standalone version of Circle of Lust (version 1.9.8 or older if I recall correctly) or for the Sexlab version (version 1.9.9 or newer, again if I remember correctly). My understanding is that Circle of Lust used to be an Ostim Standalone mod (and I use that version) but is now exclusively Sexlab (meaning I can't update to the latest version as it breaks the Ostim Standalone game).

 

p.s. I think there's a newer version of Circle of Lust on Nexus Mods, and it's got links to the old 1.9.8 Ostim version as well as the new 1.9.9 Sexlab version.

 

p.p.s. I can't figure out how to do a link to the thread post on Nexus Mods, but on July 7, 2025 when I asked Darkdesires about the versions, he (she?) answered: "If you are still using Nemesis and 1.9.8 works for you without any noticable bugs, you can stay with it. The main difference between 1.9.9 and 1.9.8 is that I switched to FNIS animations because I am using Pandora now, and I fixed a few bugs along the way. Also if using OStim don't download the SexLab version of the club. They are not really 100% compatible as you might have noticed."

 

And that matched my experiences in game. A lot of the furniture animations stopped working when I upgraded to version 1.9.9, and it kept trying to trigger all the animations through Sexlab. Switching back to version 1.9.8 made Ostim Standalone work again with Circle of Lust (including the furnitures).

This is for the SexLab version but as they are simply voice files they should work fine with the Ostim version as well.  The version on the Nexus seems to be Ostim only?

 

To be honest, I haven't played the mod before, due to the robotic voices.  I updated the voices so I can give it a shot and now that I can play, I am noticing a few oddities to contend with before I determine if I want to keep it in my load order.

 

First, blindfolds suck in VR.  Whenever I'm equipped with one, I think the game broke because everything goes black and I can't access menus.

Second, I'm not sure if the quests, "Circle of Lust" or "Submissive Pet" can be completed or if they'll remain in my journal forever.  It's not a problem on Flatrim as there are mods to hide quests but those do not work in VR.

 

All that said, at least I'm generally pleased with how the voices turned out.  It was fairly quick and dirty, but if I can get this mod working great, then I'll go back and add proper emotional context.

I'm assuming you have Devious Devices configured (Devious Devices 5.2 first, then Devious Devices NG over it if I recall correctly, but that's going off an old memory). If so, then there's an MCM setting where you can control the type and degree of blindness.

 

I've played Circle of Lust maybe three times all the way to the end in the last year. Yes, you can complete it. You build up reputation with the club up to the point where a special shop opens up, you're turned into a vampire (if you aren't already one), you get access to the lust power (which is pretty cool), and you do several side quests. It's actually one of the better quest mods in Skyrim SE. (Another cool quest mod you might like is Ravenous.)

 

To answer your question about the Nexus version, no, Ostim Standalone is only for version 1.9.8 or older. The new version 1.9.9 is for Sexlab. However, you can get either version at Nexus.

 

I've not tried "Submissive Pet" mod because I think it's a Sexlab mod. I generally avoid those as I do an Ostim Standalone playthrough. There are a couple of exceptions to that. For instance, Prison Alternative (and its various Bad Ends related quest mods) is a Sexlab mod. But I use SexlabToOstim so that I can use Prison Alternative. (P.A. is fantastic and a lot of fun.)

 

Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing your voice files. I'll be sure to try them out next time I do another Circle of Lust playthrough. I do it maybe every other Skyrim.

No Devious Devices installed.  They also work horribly in VR.  Loss of control is bad in VR.  It turns out its not the blindfold itself that causes the blackscreen but some sort of event attached to it.  It only black screens when an NPC puts it on me, then goes away about a min later when the sex scene starts.  And equipping the blindfold on myself doesn't black out.  It's still super annoying though.

 

I looked again on the Nexus and could only seem to find the Ostim version.  Or at the least, the version on the Nexus hasn't had it's requirements updated.

 

The "Submissive Pet" I was referring to was a quest within the Circle of Lust.  I looked at it in xedit and it does have an ending, but it looks like it takes quite a while.

 

Oh yeah, Ravenous!  I honestly have mixed feelings about it.  I liked the idea of it, but meat pies were not sensual to me as compared to whole roasts.  When I tried it a few years ago it was buggy and didn't have as much content as I would have liked.  Has it improved?

 

I've tried SexLab to Ostim and it worked in VR but had some bugs.  The VR version of Ostim just doesn't have the support I need right now.  I've removed Circle of Lust from my load order for now.  But I might come back to it in the future.  Enjoy the voices!
