I think it would be quicker to just open the bundles in asset studio yourself. They are clearly named with what they contain. You want armor assets

also, just found another mod for another game, and to get it to work, they had to edit the hex of the game itself, is it possible that this game is similiar? or you think everything should work fine?

I can and have even exported, but if I didn't do it right, it will be for nothing. So I'm asking for help with the correct extraction. So that you can use it later. How to import edited asset?

there are typically two ways to do it without coding in vrm or assimp support. Either way you need to download the same unity version the game uses and get the character in there and pack into an asset bundle as close to the way the game does it as you can. Most games won't just load a new bundle freely but you can use melonloader to make a harmony patch that swaps the game asset for yours. not really much if any coding, more like configuration

alternative option is to save as bundle but instead just open your new bundle with UEABEA, export your mesh as json, open real bundle, export as json if you need to clean up any issues, otherwise just import your json, save modified asset or use its patching system to make an independent patcher

I've started trying to mod this game again.

I've been moving to proof of concepts to see what works and what to mod.

Bizarrely, it appears the game refuses to read modified files. Whenever I make changes to the graphical files, I receive an infinite, black loading screen. When I delete graphical files, I have the same issue. Typically, what should happen is all applicable models and files disappear in-game.

The game should still load.

I've never had to contend with such a fussy Unity game. I suspect some sort of anti cheat, which is not an issue I've had to contend with before.

If an anti-cheat is in play, that's beyond my personal modding knowledge. I'm more of an artist, not a coder. In any case, I will continue to experiment with known methods of breaching Unity games and poke around for alternate means to inject models.

I'm aware of Melon Loader and Harmony patching, but I'm not familiar with the process. Frankly, I still have no idea how to perform Harmony patching, and I got pretty confused when I tried. It's a steep learning curve that'll likely take me a while to actually figure out if it comes down to it.

As last resort you could try 3dmigoto which is universal for Unity games (heavily used on games with anti cheat like genshin, honkai, zzz, etc)

I spent the afternoon trying to learn this software, I was able to successfully texture swap, but model swapping via this software has be lost.

Not paying for that. Not familiar with that modder, and out of the blue they have releases for multiple games at the same time. Probably not their work.

thats what I said lol

cant trust someone who posts a few mods for different games without reason, its inpossible to mod six games in three days, unless you stole them, if they did make them, they could of at least showed examples or linked to their older accounts and explained why they have this many mods within such a small amount of time.

That is clearly a texture swap.

Well within my knowledge at the moment.

If I have time today, I do want to push a texture swap today at the very least.

Im not interested in encouraging paid mods.

might be, doesn't look like a new model? need the file too try it before saying if it is XD lol

I'm still trying to figure out 3dmigoto model swapping. The process is very different from what I'm used to, which is directly editing ASSET files. Unfortunately, as I mentioned the game won't load with modified or missing ASSET files.

I'm poking around for 3dmigoto tutorials or mods I can attempt to reverse engineer.
