maranmurla Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 (edited) Hello! I'm loosing my mind and i'm looking for some help. Recently i've decided to switch to BHUNP just to taste something different from the usual 3ba. After adding a lot of outfits to my liking, when i tried them out in game before actually playing it i noticed weird behaviour of the body and a lot of clipping. Whenever i put on any item with 32 body slot everything works great. All the accessories from any outfit lines up perfectly on my custom preset, but whenever i take of the 32 body slot item, everything goes to shit... I'm banging my head against the wall for the past few hours trying to understand what the fck is going on. I tried to adjust the outfits in outfit studio but then when i put the 32 body slot item it clips again because the body changes slightly. Is there anyone who had such issue or maybe there is anyone who can help the poor idiot fixing this problem? I've attached a screenshot of how does it look in game. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers! Link to screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/rhQ5Kvc Edited March 26, 2025 by maranmurla Added link to imgur, because the attached ss is not working
Demonwise Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 Ok, I could be wrong here but I believe I have had this issue before. Is the 32 body slot the bikini top? If it is then I think what is happening is that you have two different body meshes that are conflicting. I have had this happen in Fallout 4. If you inspect that mod's meshes I think you will find that the bikini piece also is combined with its own copy of the body. When you equip the bikini piece it unequips the default body and equips the bikini WITH its copy of the body mesh. In theory the body mesh should be identical to your default body mesh. If it is NOT however, you run into issues like this. So when you take off the bikini your default body mesh is equipped and it looks like it is not built to fit this mod's clothing. That is why you see parts of the legs clipping through the clothing and also why your breasts are either larger or smaller. It may also be the weight painting differences between the two body meshes. Ok enough of all that, what's the solution? Well just go back into bodyslide and rebuild your body, save it as a preset and then export it. Then make sure you rebuild and export the all of the mod's armor pieces with the preset that you saved for your body mesh. That should solve your problem. That said, if there is an issue with weight painting you may still end up with parts of the body clipping through the clothing WHILE YOUR MOVING. If this happens, you can either try your hand at learning to weight paint or you can open the meshs of the affected parts of clothing in OutfitStudio and just use the expand brush to make the parts of the clothing where the clipping occurs a bit larger and further offset from the body so that it won't clip.
Kastagir Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 (edited) Obviously the torso mesh included in the bikini top .nif file is not the same as the one you're using for the naked body (\meshes\actors\character\character assets\femalebody_0 and _1.nif). That's what the screenshot shows. Why? 1. The bodyslide files for the outfit are incorrect/inconsistent with the weights and/or vertices of the BHUNP body, or 2. You did not generate the femalebody_0 and _1 .nif files using the same preset you used to generate the outfit meshes, or 3. The outfit's bodyslide files are based off of a different version of BHUNP than you are using for your naked body meshes, or 4. One or more pieces of the outfit don't have the weight slider enabled in the plugin (least likely but possible). If it's #1, you need to seek help from the author of the bodyslide files. If it's #2, you need to generate the naked body meshes and make sure they're in the correct location. If you're using a custom race or a mod that changes these asset records you'll need to figure that out yourself. If it's #3 you'll need to generate your naked body meshes using the same version of BHUNP that the outfit mod lists as a requirement. If it's #4 you can check the ArmorAddOn records in the plugin to verify whether they have the weight slider enabled for all pieces. It should say "Enabled" under DNAM - Data, Weight slider - Female" If it's not there right click to edit and you'll see a checkbox for 'Enabled." Edited March 27, 2025 by Kastagir

Well it is bikini top (sort off) i just used a couple different body slot 32 items and they looked all the same (with it it's perfect, without shrinked). As for your solution i did that a couple of times. I even changed the preset for a few different ones and what's funny, they work the same. I can see that there is that custom preset but it's slightly shrinked on the same places. 11 hours ago, Kastagir said: Obviously the torso mesh included in the bikini top .nif file is not the same as the one you're using for the naked body (\meshes\actors\character\character assets\femalebody_0 and _1.nif). I thought so myself as well but...when i open each pieces of the outfit using my custom body preset as the reference, each leggins or some other accessory is visibly clipping in the outfit studio. 1. They should be, but i may be wrong here, no one even complainted on authors page. 2. I did genereate femalebody_0 and _1 .nif files with the same preset multiple times, i even used different presets (same problem with them as well) 3. There should be compatible with the newest one, as the ouftit was uploaded and updated in may 2022, which was long after BHUNP v3 update, BHUNP v4 is compatible with v3 in every way. I even took a step forward with installing legacy versions as well as BakaFactory added this option in the installer. Generating body on older versions looks the same, clipping and shrinked. 4. I checked the records and they are there. I've attached more screenshots with weight record and of course outfit studio while loading my own preset as a reference. Thank you both for your time, i really appreciate. Screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/tALrLf4
maranmurla Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 Okey finally! I managed to fix it completely, i just took the outfit and throw out every single mesh, any weighted bones and everything else out. Then i saved the outfits without bones and references, booted up outfit studio again and i've added reference copying bones, conforming everything once again and Voila. Body doesn't change without body slot 32 and every accessory looks great! Now i just have to edit the rest of my outfits but i'm glad i finally made progress. Thanks for the help!
