SL Defeat bug, bleedout state activates while midair (launched by giant)

Alright so I'm just wondering if anyone has a way to go about this issue:

While having the SL Defeat Baka edition setting 'Essential - On bleedout' enabled (under Player as Victim), you go into a bleedout state instead of being killed. 

This works well normally but when launched into the air (by a giant or similar creature) the bleedout state activates midair rather than waiting untill you land.

While animations might play afterwards, your character will either spasm out, or be stuck mid air.

 

Is no one else facing this issue, and if so have you found another way to deal with it other than just switching it of when fighting giants?

This is your problem.

 

Death Alternative and Defeat do not work together, despite seemingly being aware of each other. There is no workaround for it, stuff will break because those mods get into each other's way. Choose one, not both.

I don't have the mod Death Alternative installed, I should have written "with 'Essential - On bleedout' enabled" I'm using the setting on defeat that adds it's own death alternative by putting you in a bleed state.

 

And it's when you enter that state mid ragdoll that things get messed up :/
