This simple mod adds 3 poop sound effects of my tastes to Private Needs by richard19840706. I've only added 3 sounds, because at the moment, I think it only plays 3. I'm hoping to extend it to have more sound effects.

 

Nothing more to say, really. If you use Private Needs, and you want different, hilarious sound effects for all your BM needs, then Private Needs BM is for you!

 

I may make new versions, meaning different sounds per mod version, but in the meantime, I enjoy the new sounds (a little too much).

 

I almost cried sorting through the sounds I wanted to use. I have a ton of these sounds ready to go, so expect more.

Now it's just up to richard to expand the number of sound files that play, and make them play at random. I'd put enough files in that no one would hear the same effect twice in a row.

 

I haven't asked him to do that though, so absolutely no guarantees. It's on my "wishlist".

Actually, this should work for Puppet Master too. They use the same files. Install this after both PN and PM to get fx for both mods.

Maybe. For now, it's all about the BM though.

 

Not really sure how I'm gonna do that, exactly. I could piss in the toilet and record it, but that wouldn't sound right in the outhouses. I could piss in a bucket or something, but I'm only willing to go so far for this mod.

 

It's easy to fart into a mic, but not so easy to piss into one. Also, I'm not sure pissing into...something would be loud enough. I can fart directly into the mic. I can't...piss on my mic.

Removed Realistic Shit. I will see about getting it made as it's own version. It's pretty nasty, and it's not called Realistic Shit for no reason, so I'd rather not get rid of it.

 

It would act as one long shit sound, instead of a series of farts and such. No guarantees, but I hope I can get a version of PN that plays RS. We'll see. I might be able to turn it into a series of files in Audacity, but this would be the 1st time I've chopped up a sound file, so once again, no guarantees.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. The problem is PN uses 3 files for shitting. Realistic Shit uses only one, long sound file, so I assume it calls to other files at some point, and finds none, and maybe that just stops the 1st (only) sound when that happens.

 

As far as me grunting and moaning while taking a shit......no.

I'd have to rerecord each sound to accomplish that. I don't know how to add another sound file to play at the same time as the shitting, so simply grunting into my mic as new sound files wouldn't help. Also, I'm not sure how I'd get them both to start at the same time during each sequence.

 

It's not so easy to get the sounds just right. Believe it or not, it took plenty of "tries" to get those one's to sound right.

 

This is not my proudest mod! I went out of my way to get those nasty sounds. I'm not really willing to go "Hnnnnngh" and "Rrrraw" and "Nnnnngaahh" while shitting to spice up the mod. All I really wanted was some better sounds. Mission accomplished.

 

I don't plan on taking this mod to fantastic heights. It's shit sounds, for crying out loud.

 

 

Update: I've spoken with richard19840706. He said he might add my ass to his mod, with a ton of sounds played at random. This means BM might be integrated into PN soon. I have 13 sounds in the file I gave him, and I have the sounds in each mod I uploaded here, for a total of 20. That's a lot of shittin' and fartin' by yours truly.

How exactly do we activate this?  I've installed it but haven't noticed any new sounds.  Maybe I am just not a poop sound connoisseur.  There wasn't a new set of sounds available in PN.  Should they just automatically play?

Crap (literally). Sorry, I didn't have this thread subbed (pretty silly of me). It installs just like any other mod, but it's packed for Mod Organizer. You could just extract it to the data folder, but mods like Puppet Master could interfere in that case, and nullify the sounds. I recommend installing with MO. Probly work with NMM too, but it might need to be extracted to a new folder called Data, and rezipped. Not sure if NMM still needs a data folder or not.

 

There is no MCM for this mod, but that wouldn't be a bad idea, since I have 3 versions. Could just make so you can choose which set to use, but I've never made a MCM mod, so I'd need to learn how to add the mod to SkyUI MCM. Not really necessary, but it's a thought.

 

BTW, this mod is only for PN version 2.2.1. As @aim4it said...

It was added to the newest Private Needs. There have been some issues reported with the new one, so a lot of people use 2.2.1. PN BM is not necessary with the new version. If you have issues with the newest PN, just go back to PN 2.2.1. Might not be a good idea to switch to the older version if you already use the newest one, but it might be fine to uninstall the old one via MCM, disable the mod and remove, load the game, wait like 3 hours, save, quit, maybe run Skyrim Save Cleaner for extra measures, and install 2.2.1 with BM loaded after it.

 

About extra sounds, I no longer have any of my equipment, so I can't make anything more until I get a new M-Track and mic. This will require at least $200 though...

 

Remember, if you use Puppet Master and/or PM Swallow, and you want these sounds to play when using that, load BM after those mods. If you want these sounds to play only for Private Needs, and not for PM or PMS, load BM after PN, but before PM/PMS. Of course, PM would need to use PN setting settings, which can be toggled in PM's MCM menu.
