So, what happened to Tears of Ecstacy?

years have passed since the last trailer and, i see no nude cool mod on tears of the kingdom. I'm really starting to lose all hope... 

Even if I REALLY want to support those developers by their patreon or donations, I don't see any update of any mod shown here.

I'm guessing you're talking about a specific mod for that game, though. And if you are, I'd say don't get your hopes up. Mods are made in someone's free time, and sometimes people don't end up having said free time to do so.

It's a scam. Someone knows how to change models and make sexy outfits for the game and that's about it. They don't ever post any actual gameplay changes, and likely never will, either because they don't know how to make those changes or otherwise are unable to make those changes for some reason.

I followed the mod for a little bit last year, even subscribed for a couple of months. I think its a scam in the sense that the developer probably doesn't have a way to make the mod user friendly. The videos and outfits they've shown do appear real and in game but they are always super short edited clips. my guess is that the mod crashes the game constantly or maybe there are a lot of graphical glitches with the mods active. At this point in the development cycle, at least one outfit or nude version should have been released then you keep your audience on your patreon by creating new outfits and adding them to the mod. The developer hasn't done that because supposedly they want to release the full mod with all the outfits and make it a different game all together. which is a nice but at this point I'm going to say mod will never happen and developer is probably gonna all off a sudden disappear from the map. Clasic move.

Sockpoppet made some decent mods for Breath of the Wild, but yeah, this "massive project" for TotK...it's been "coming soon" for who knows how long now. People keep saying it's going well and will be released soon...same story I've heard for a year or so now. I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't found this and shut it down at this point.

Taking money for a Nintendo IP is always a huge risk. They can shut it down at any time and I wouldn't be surprised if this entire project never sees the light of day. Multiple years of blueballs at this point.

That's what I'm thinking, he's just asking for trouble putting his mods behind a paywall. I'm just shocked Nintendo hasn't done anything...I had thoughts of telling Nintendo myself just to spite them, lol

The guy teased videos of his mod within a month after launch.   Its been over 2 years and the mod is not playable.  
Anyone who gave him money is dumb.

I have faith in Studio Shigeki. Their work seems solid, they just made a Dev Update two days ago. I just always presumed that this mod was their hobby, so they worked on it in the free time which is why it took so long to come out. I remember reading on the ToTK topic someone saying it'll be somewhere within Q2 of this year, so if it's not out at the end of June, that's when I'll stop believing in them.

It's pretty darn hard to believe this since the rest of us don't have access to these updates. I WANT to give the benefit of the doubt, but it's pretty tiring to always hear "Dude, trust me" anytime anyone questions the mod's legitimacy.
