MrGrey Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Why can't you store power armor in the Settlement or player home closest to where SS is operating? Live the Power Armor Life! Get a T-51 and fix it every day and change the core. Can't be beat! 33 steel, 1 aluminum and 1 circuit to fix up. That's less than 4 tin can chimes, 1 aluminum soda can, and 1 hot plate or phone. You can do this! And 500 caps max for a fusion core. You can buy 5 a day in Diamond city from Arturo, or from that kill bot in Goodneighbor. Level up with nuclear physicist perk and you will only use 1/3 of a fusion core a day. And you can get the "repair" booble head from the high towers at Covega. Only 16 raider stand between SS and this prize!
Miauzi Posted April 7, 2025 Posted April 7, 2025 On my god More than 10 years old topics that have been extensively discussed in various Fallout forums... and now the AI bots are flooding our forum with those very same topics... and countless users are still responding to them -> without realizing - that they are all part of the training system for such "artificial intelligences"
lloydprawn Posted April 8, 2025 Posted April 8, 2025 ^ Bingo. I used to keep at least the Concord suit and leave it in the Sanctuary or Red Rocket PA station. Now I just leave it in the museum, and I ignore every other suit I see.

Sometimes I'll put my character in PA when I' m in a mood for that sort of thing, but it's rare. And I can't be 100% sure, but I don't think I have ever put a character of mine in PA in FO3 or NV.
cosworth Posted April 10, 2025 Posted April 10, 2025 Power suits aren`t my cup of tea either, once I just put Heather in one, she really had a great time, but otherwise I just let the first one from Corvega in Sanctuary, repair it and let the settlers use it - free for all, so to say 😁 To be a bit of a help to the OP, I would recommend Starlight Drive In, once fortified it offers ample space. Have a great day guys!
By the time you got power armor in FO3 or FONV, 75% of the game was already over... and the resulting increase in your "stats" was quite modest... in total, you couldn't even wear any more gear besides your armor, but even less! There was another problem: repairs. And without the necessary training, you couldn't use a PA anyway - so it was essential to get involved with the "Steel Nazis" of the Brotherhood... which was essential in FO3. And now in FO4 EVERY FARMER can use a PA... without training and without instructions? While a PA was an absolute must-have in Fallout 1 and 2, players can get by quite well without one in the newer installments. Then there are the mod authors - who had created enough alternatives to the PA quite early on... I had Nova's Ghost outfit from "StarCraft II" in FO3 (unfortunately no longer available).
