Player using the wrong standing animation

At some point (I'm not sure when) my character started using a kneeling MT_Idle animation from Sanguine's Debauchery instead of the normal standing animation. I first noticed this after installing the Captured Dreams and Buxom Wench Yuriana mods, but I'm pretty sure the issue happened earlier, because this affects save files from before I installed those mods, even after I disable those mods and re-run FNIS. I have saves that are unaffected by this issue, but they're several days old and I don't want to lose all that progress.

In order to fix this, I tried disabling Sanguine Debauchery in MO2 and running FNIS. This caused my character to use a standing animation from Estrus for Skyrim instead. Disabling Estrus for Skyrim got me back to the normal walking animation, but making a clean save and re-enabling both mods resulted in my character using the kneeling animation again. I have no idea why getting rid of both mods entirely and making a clean save wouldn't fix this issue, and the results I'm finding online mostly refer to unrelated bugs.

Any ideas?

Dunno about the animation change, but I am 90% sure the fact it propagated to other saves is because you loaded them without exiting the game first.

Scripts linger, even if you exit to main menu. Whenever you want to load a save, exit the game first, relaunch, then load. Even if you die and are greeted with loading screen, exit game first. Worst thing you can do is load the previous save while still in game and affected by scripts either from mods or even vanilla game itself. This is a known issue with the engine, there is no known fix for it, only a workaround.

Sure. Perhaps it's checking for a faction membership or spell on your character. Reinstalling SD probably doesn't remove either of these, so when it was installed again it went back to doing what it was doing before. You generally do not uninstall mods that are running in one shape or another, things have tendency to stick around like belegost said.

Damn, that's really inconvenient. It takes a long time for the game to restart and I find myself loading saves a lot.

I've started a new game anyway (some mods I wanted to play required a new save and this was a good excuse) so I'll keep it in mind for this playthrough

I do not subscribe to this enthusiastic restarting of the game, but I'm also not going to claim its wrong. I'll take the more diplomatic approach and say there's probably an unknown 3rd party involved in this issue. Just like I never saw this issue myself in Fallout 3 where it seemed to be rather prominent, I haven't seen it in Skyrim either.

My config:

RegularQuicksaves = false # Makes quick saves into regular saves

You might think I'm sprinting across a minefield while wearing a blindfold, but to that I'd say I guess I have the Light Foot perk.
