Lackom Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Is there a mod to make two or more designated NPC have sex on a regular basis? I tried Scent of Sex but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
hotrack Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 (edited) I used a self-edited Sexlab Eager NPCs time-of-day AI package-plus-simple sex script (also edited for the tags appropriate to my animation list) to make a kind of AI Overhaul-type mod to add to NPCs. For example, I make it so that Lodvar and Olda (of Dragon Bridge [said to be having an extra-marital affair]) will sneak off and have sex at the unused Dragon Bridge lumber mill house after Horgeir goes to sleep. I've been adding other unique AI packages so that spouses, lovers (I even have designated patrons for Prostitutes of Skyrim) will have sex without the need for a "scanner"-type mod like Scent of Sex, especially since Scent of Sex couldn't do what I wanted for Lodvar and Olda. Currently the mod exists as an addition into a big merge esp and the scripts are compiled to my animation list tags. This kind of mod really is more for those that know how to use xEdit and are willing to self-patch, given that it basically inserts AI packages to an NPC record (overwriting or being overwritten by other mods like aesthetic overhauls or even AI Overhaul). As well as interior cell changes to make target beds persistent. Furthermore, like Lodvar and Olga I had to create separate sleeping AI packages for them to account for the scenario of going to sleep 2 times at night (first being asleep until Horgeir falls asleep, 2nd going back to sleep before Horgeir wakes up). So there are changes in AI package ordering and even for my own modlist, overwriting of specific AI Overhaul packages for use to fit these things for appropriate time-of-day scenarios. Plus, the problem is that I don't know why the NPCs just stand at the location reference if they reach there in an unloaded cell (if the cell is loaded before the NPC reaches the location reference, they have sex just fine), and will only start the scene if I talk to them or I leave the cell [if the cell is still loaded after exiting]. Plus other shenanigans like female actors (they being targets) sometimes being stuck in their last animation pose if they stay in the current loaded cell or something visually annoying (but not game breaking), make me less likely to release it as there are most likely lots of 'bugs'/incompatibilities that others might encounter I won't be able to troubleshoot given my limited skill set.
