*solved* CTD when I try to wait or save

Hi there!
Everytime I try to save, sleep or wait my game crashes to desktop (saving includes autosave which is really annoying >_<). I tried reinstalling, disabling other mods and downloading Skyrim again (It crashed one time so bad I couldn't start Skyrim anymore even with no mods active). However if I don't have sexlab installed everything works just fine.

*Update* I also can't go in any building or city which needs loading but the normal map is ok and if I load an older save then my newest it also has a ctd

Having same issue, i have dissabled all auto/quicksaves and reverted to manual... but every time after my char has been raped and cont and try to save.. it crashes.. iv disabled alot of the mods and am strting to get down to the only basic rape ones pervided by sexlab... would like to be able to use submit, dangerous nights, dangerous naked... but then i cant save at all after my char has been raped.

 

*something* found out that the mod submit, was causing the issue so far, as i have been able to save... so i may be able to use other mods... but im still testing to see if i still get a crash. but im hoping not and just live with not having the tied up part... wich i hope not.

 

Update- found some info, and going to see about setting the mods up differently.

 

Update- and found out that using Submit causes the came to crash when trying to save. was a horrible experience as i was rapped more than six times as i was bound right in front of the NPC.

I had the same problem.

 

I fixed it by disabling the tfc option in sexlab. When the animation ends and you are still in free camera mode strange things seem to happen...

 

You can still manually enter tfc in the console, but remember to toggle it again before the animations end.

seems the Auto tfc feature was an issue in my part... might just stay with normal cam mode. thanks for the tip codemonkey

My automatic TFC was never enabled and I CTD as well, everytime I (or my game automatically) tries to save, only after anything involving Sexlab is initialized.    I do use the TFC, but its not automatic.  I will try to not use TFC and see what happens.  I will report back.

 

This only started after I updated to the newest version.

Alright, I did not use TFC at all and it did not crash so I'm guessing that really might have something to do with it.  Too bad.  I really like switching to it.

I'm having this same issue.  I just upgraded from 1.31 to 1.34. The game works fine with SexLab installed in general.  But after I use a mod that uses SL's animations, anytime I try to save, the game instantly CTD's.  The save is never created.  I just played for 30 minutes without using the mod(but it was still installed) and had no issues with saving.  I also have auto-TFC turned on, so I'll try it without.

 

Too bad the camera angles are horrible without TFC.

 

 

EDIT: You guys are right.  With auto-freecam off, it doesn't crash anymore.

Hello, i have the same issue. I use the new Version of SexLab 1.35. When i have Sex with a NPC and i will save the game after the sex, i becomes a Crash to Desktop. Now i have deactivate the auto cam and it works now.

Ditto to the above: I was glad that Sexlab finally had the same free-floating camera feature as Sexout, and was equally frustrated and mystified as to why I always CTD-ed as soon as I tried to save.  It never would have occurred to me, either, that turning off that option would have been the solution to this problem without searching for others who were having the same CTD issue I was having and finding this ready-made solution.

This is strange, i had this problem when i first started a new game with Sexlab. I did something which fixed the issue but instead broke something else causing all sex animations to loop and never end. I fixed that by disabling all the sexlab mods, cleaning my save and then reinstalling but now im back to the fucking save CTD.

 

I'm somewhat perplexed as to why auto TFC is even a feature if it causes this type of problem. Is there no way to patch it or fix it without awful side problems?

Of course, I agree that it would be great if they could, eventually, somehow properly implement that feature at some point.

 

I assume, however, that whoever implemented the auto-TFC feature wasn't aware-- for whatever reason-- that it caused the CTD's.

Anyhow after disabling auto free cam all problems seem to have been resolved, quick save, sleep/wait save, manual save etc all seem to work as intended. After some more testing and experimentation , at least for me the ctd issues seem to arise even after the free cam is manually toggled, however if toggled at the start or during sex and toggled off before then ending, ie rumble and redress of chars the ctd issues don't seem to present themselves. Hopefully this little detail might help the dev's narrow their search for the problem

Same here. It worked fine in my early testing, then for some reason I couldn't save. Turning off the auto camera and making sure the manual was switched off before the scene ended also seems to have done the trick for me.

 

I hope they get this bug squashed! I miss my auto camera option already.

 

(also, maybe some way to force hide the cursor? I seem to have the thing stuck visible all the time, but that could be an interaction with "immersive HUD" possibly)

Huh.. To bad. I never encountered this problem before, but after i updated some mods again, this problem occured. 

Disabling Auto Camera might fix this, but to be honest.. I guess i'll wait till this problem got solved.

That Auto Camera made every animation so much more enjoyable.

And no i dont mean you should rush for a fix here. Take your time.

Because i always messing arround to solve problems for myself, i somehow figured, it doesnt CTD anymore.

 

3 2 1 option why:

I noticed in FNIS the bottom horse fix was checked (i dont use anything of these) and rebuild the FNIS patch.

I changed the hdtPhysicsExtension.xml back to my old one (I updated to the new HDT Tripples V3).

I saved while wasnt using auto TFC and disabled it in the options.

 

Used the new hdtPhysics thingy, CTD again (but i noticed, how the female actor was missing.. I activated TFC on my own via console again, after used realign for positions, to make her visible again), but it also could be because i've loaded the save again, while i saved with auto TFC checked.

 

Used old .xml file again, but still CTD after sex and saving. 

That leaves me to:
It got fixed for one instance of Skyrim, but i guess some scripts might mess arround with TFC, if you save it while it is checked. So if you use your saved file again afterwards, you get that CTD problem.

had the same problem and now it's fixed though I was hoping it was something else. I really like the TFC I'll give the console code a try but they really need to come out with a patch or something. Seriously I would donate money to SexLab if it would get them working on that problem. Oh well I guess I can just watch my npc followers get rapped by drauger in first person.

Seems to be okay as long as you switch back (using the manual toggle) before the animation ends.  I'll play with it a bit and see if I can't better establish what's safe and what sparks a CTD.

 

Update - I seem to do okay even if I end with the free camera on, as long as I use the manual toggle.  At least, it's not a guaranteed CTD when I save/leave the area/etc.

I *just* started having this problem. My mods didn't change except that I swapped AFT for UFO, but I don't see why it would have anything to do with SexLab.

 

And it's really SexLab's auto-TFC that breaks it; I turned off the option, did tfc in the console, and let the animations finish, and saved succesfully, didn't have to toggle anything after sexlab stuff ends.

Hi guys.

 

Since sharing is caring - turning off TFC also helped me. I was seriously bugged why I was getting CTDs untill I've finally noticed it's related to SexLab activities. A few minutes on google later led me back here. 

 

Shame that the option needs to be disabled, but at least I can continue playing now. I'll keep my thumbs up for a patch.

Thank you all for this thread.  I disabled the TFC and that fixed the issue.  That's kinda random that it was cause that.  It's weird bc it never happened before, until recent when i started playing again...  Sooo, bc of an update.. idk.. I selfishly want a patch to come out for it, and would donate for it.  Anyways, again, thanks for the thread and all the responses everyone!

Try hitting the tfc key twice (when you aren't having sex) before saving then you can have your auto and still save.
