I'm new to this, help pls

I think I've installed most if not all the mods I need to get things working, but whenever I try to pair myself with a pal I get the error in the images. Can somebody help me out? And are you able to play animations without having to find/spawn in characters in the world?

I suggest that you should remove all your mods and start over by just installing the base mods, then add mods little by little...

Just to make sure, you pointed the cursor at cattiva and tapped 'G' (Held if it is in your party) to get a message saying cattiva selected, tapped 'J' to select yourself, then held 'H' to start animation?

The problem was I wasn't targeting myself with J, I was doing it by holding G, which isn't the same.  So that's sorted out. Now I'm just missing a nsfw replacer for the player.

Community meshpack has a male replacer, but you have to remove your armor to see it.

 

If you don't mind furry, there is Reaper's NSFW Renamon replacer and a Protogen replacer (though it requires a NSFW add on from TBC to have the proper attachment).

I'm kind of new to this, I managed to use MxF animations with wild Pals, but how do I do it with the captured ones? After summoning it, it doesn't let me select it.

Hold 'G' for selecting your summoned party pal. The system used for targeting doesn't work on party pals so another hotkey specifically for targeting them was added (which comes with the benefit of not needing to look at them).

Malpaca is just cursed. There's been intermittent bugs with it for a while now. If you have both the community mesh pack and jackals mesh pack try swapping the mesh using shift+o.

This doesn't work actually, I only have Jackal's and it's still a problem now unfortunately.

Can we get a listing of all the key shortcuts plz?   I think somehow my keys got all switched up....is there a way to manually set them?  What about a how to on the functioned/buttons?  ty for helping.

 

Update:  At first I thought this wasn't working at all ..then somehow i managed to hit the correct keys and an animation did start.   I can only get it to start for for one pal....but it does work.  I just need to figure out the keys.  Ive tried G ...tried holding G...  tried  J  then H ...tried combining G and j then H.  Im not sure which triggers it  -.-

Keys are static and can't be changed.

 

Shift + O to re-roll meshes (altermatic only)

Shift + Y to open menus
Shift + K to inspect active scenes not involving you (wompy womp or other)
G to select the targeted Pal (hold to select your partnered one)
J to select yourself
H to detarget everyone (hold to start supported animations if they exist with your pal)
Shift + R to open the animation adjustment menu.

 

These are listed in the README file that comes with SCake.

Thank you very much.  Winrar kept throwing an error trying to open the readme in the package.  So the readme unpacled as unreadable.  I downloaded it again and it unpacked fine.  Maybe my wifi farted during the 1st download.  But thank you for replying.  i appreciate the answer.   It's really great to see a community with people willing to help others.   now...if I could just figure out why 90% of the pals Im capturing are male  o.0 .   22 pals (of the same type) captured and only 2 of those 22 captured...are female.   Another example.....30 fox sparks....and 4 were female.   Its a sausage feast at my base  -.-

Tbf, you can view their genders before you catch them. Alternatively, use a save editor to swap their gender too if you have too many of one gender or want to make breeding easier.
