dude dont use the XXMI launcher
you have to switch back to 3D Migoto sadly the launcher dont work anymore with genshin

Playing with mods through XXMI isn’t possible right now because of the “Illegal tools detected” error, but I’ve seen people say that switching to GIMI 7.0 (3DMigoto) “helps.” For those who switched — did the detections stop for you?

알베도 TS 게임(바나나 공룡)이 포함되어 있습니까? 찾아보고자 하는 gb 모드는 없습니다.

I don't know if you have this, so I share it just in case.

Avatar Icons 5.8

The file: "Avatar + Loli.ini" is for those who still have the .dds image files of the lolis from previous versions of this mod. I can no longer publish those files here or they will delete the post. However, if you still have them, you should put those .dds images in the "Avatar" folder and delete the file: "Avatar.ini" and replace it with "Avatar + Loli.ini" so you can have the most up-to-date version with Ineffa and the lolis.

Actually it's been a misconception, haven't ever had any issues with xxmi and just got on today without any issues whatsoever.

Their setup or installation for xxmi is either wrong or did not put it together correctly or at the same time they got a bad download from the wrong area.

Here is a tutorial from gamebanana that shows how to have a great temp fix to this problem, but honestly it's just a tutorial on how to properly install xxmi without having the tool issue:

https://gamebanana.com/tuts/18977

I know this because ever since I first started trying 3Dmigoto I got sick of the crappy setup & constantly updating other games separately so VERY early on I started using the standalone version of XXMI and figured out how to install xxmi properly all on my own.

Somehow the person in this tutorial above finally figured out how to install xxmi without issues or problems while also solving most peoples issue on where to install orfix as well in the buffervalues spot.

I'd say great tutorial, but that's definitely not a "temp" fix, that tutorial should be labeled how to install xxmi.   😂

It's not xxmi being the problem, it's poor tech savvy downloading & installation.

XXMI launcher IS safe, download only from reputable areas, always use a "hide UID" feature, install XXMI CORRECTLY, never have hoyoplay launcher on while using xxmi obviously.

And obviously don't invite or let other co-op players join you while using mods.  (obviously unless you know them personally yourself)

It's not an install problem, it's a region and lottery problem. They're upping the anticheat in the EU which is the cause of the illegal tool detected; some people get hit by it and others don't, with the people who aren't hit by it decreasing. If you're in the NA server, you'll never come across this at the moment. If you're in the EU, you probably will come across it. I don't know the situation with the Asia server, but if I remember right, they were the first ones to come across the Illegal tool detected issue around 4-5? months ago by now. I don't know if Hoyoverse decided to lay off it there or not after all this time.

Also, what the hell does co-op have anything to do with modding? The people joining your world can't see your mods; only you can visually see or know about the changes unless one of the cheating clients is capable of scanning your pc.

Edit: I will say that 3dmigoto is detected way less than XXMI for people who currently have the issue, but it can still be detected.

It works for me. At the general tab, I changed the start method from "shell" to "native". It might not work for everyone, but it is an option worth trying.

It’s not about bad installation. Even with proper setup, from official sources, hide UID on, no HoYoPlay, and no random co-op, the “Illegal tools detected” error still happens. This started after Genshin’s anti-cheat update, and it’s a mass issue affecting many users — not user error.

Rolling back to a 2-year-old GIMI 7.0 isn’t “proper installation,” it’s just using an old 3DMigoto build to bypass new detections. That’s a workaround, not the normal way XXMI should run. The fact it’s needed at all proves the issue is with the recent anti-cheat changes, not how people install XXMI. And on top of that — I’ve heard some people still get “Illegal tools detected” even on GIMI 7.0.

Thanks a bunch for these! I really liked the 2nd Ineffa pic, would it be possible to have both breasts hang normally? Cheers

Look, I've literally been in game for the entire day today and have been using xxmi just fine ever since I started modding just after quitting 3Dmigoto.

All I posted was simply something that "may" or "might" help others.

The way the gamebanana post was put together made it look as if it was just basically the normal way to install xxmi.  (i know there are other ways to install geez give it a break.)

No one was asking for an ego stroking here.

We're all here to mod and we should all be here to help, collective information is a great way to have a wonderful modding experience.

the "illegal tool" error and before that was another error issue.

I'm not trying to brag, but with all these random errors that pop up to the extent that even a mod creator full on quit genshin (nahcyor), just proves that there has to be something being done wrong or at least a way to figure out WHY or HOW these "unknown" errors just happen to pop-up.

Though blaming 1 tool and praising another should never be the case.    If it is better for others to use other launchers then cool, but pointing fingers isn't right.

We should all be looking into ways to figure out what causes these errors and issues and why other people DON'T ever get these problems when others do.

Again this isn't an ego stroking or blame game here.

I posted just to help is all, it's not my fault if everything looked as if it was a simple installation guide.

To me you seem very tense & easily offended.   Everything okay?...  🤔
