I encountered the same problem. I have an adblocker for the browser and it was because of it that it did not work, I disabled it specifically for kio - it worked. Maybe this will help you

Maybe this will help you I have a default Chrome installed, bc I cant download the file on firefox no matter what. Some sites just dont like some browsers or settings. With the default Chrome it had no problems, only have it for stuff like this.
