Gudulba Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 I first began to notice this issue after having completed the Civil War quest on the Stormcloak side: at Fort Greenwall and another fort near Morthal, most of the Stormcloak soldiers (male and female) are nude (no armor and for the males a hole where the schlong is supposed to be (I use Schlongs of Skyrim). All other Stormcloak soldiers everwhere else in my game are fine armor-wise and schlong-wise. I can place armor into their inventory or assign a clothing preset via DressUp Lovers mod and for the time being, they stay dressed. But when visiting again after some time (maybe the 30 in-game days??), they are nude again. For testing purposes, when I dress them, then do a "disable/recycleactor/enable", they spaw in nude again. These are the base form IDs for some soldiers appearing in Fort Greenwall: 1716B, 1716C, 770B0. What could be the reason for this issue and how to solve it?
traison Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 I would start by inspecting their inventories and outfits: Get More Informative Console. Find a nude soldier. Open the console, select them. inv Do they have a military outfit in their inventory? resetinventory Are they wearing their outfit now? Note down their base form id. Open xEdit, don't change the load order. Find the form id of the sample soldier. Inspect all mods altering their DOFT field. Also inspect changes to their inventories. If its still not working, inspect the armors they're assigned, make sure their race can wear them. If its still not working, I'd say you have some external thing removing their outfits: a script, perhaps attached to a cloak spell, or a mod with a dll.
danna233 Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 Do you have mods that add NPCs? Maybe these are not vanilla Stormcloaks.
belegost Posted January 28, 2025 Posted January 28, 2025 Using TAWOBA? Check if included leveled list is not messing around with their assigned outfits. I had similar issue with naked Thalmor before I ditched this file for SPID distribution.

I tested with: inv -> only weapons in inventory, no armor/outfits resetinventory -> still only weapons in inventory, no armor/outfits -> still nude According to xEdit, no mods are altering their DOFT field. The armor pieces are definitely wearable. As mentioned in the other post, TAWOBA might be the culprit.

Yes, good point, I guess I have such mods. But according to More Informative Console, they are definitey added by vanilla Skyrim.

I haven't had looked into leveled lists so far. - What exactly should I look for and where? - What is this SPID distribution are you are referring to?

danna233 Posted January 29, 2025 Posted January 29, 2025 Have you collected leveled lists? If you add NPCs to the leveled lists, you need to collect the bash patch

Reinstall TAWOBA but during process do not select any option that says "add armours to the world". I can't recall the exact wording and there are several options to choose from, but basically choose none. Ot if you can't be arsed, find that optional plugin that and disable it. Install SPID and get this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78746 Or any other SPID bikini distribution mod. There are several to choose from. Pick your poison. Best thing about SPID distribution is that usually it can be added or removed at any point during an existing game, so you can easily test out several and see which one you like. SPID distributes stuff at every game launch, so the items are not "baked" into NPC inventory, but get re-distributed every time. Of course it leads to some randomness and they will not get exactly the same type of gear every single time, but whatever, it makes things interesting. Edited January 29, 2025 by belegost
Gudulba Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 Ok, so here's what I have done so far with testing thanks to all input here: - Removed TAWOBA including its levelled list ESP - Removed Immersive Armors - Reset schlongified armors in the SOS MCM - Removed the High Poly Head NPC Overhaul mod (only ESP which edited the affected Base IDs) - Deleted all affected Base and Ref IDs from the save with ReSaver Unfortunately nothing has helped so far. These records (male and female) still spawn in nude with no armor outfit in the inventory, only weapons...
