[XCL] [0.21.4] [OBSOLETE] NPC Pregnancy

This is a mod for XCL v0.21.4+ that makes it possible to get bar girls pregnant. Thanks to Chloe, it probably works correctly. I think. You don't need to do anything special, just don't pull out of bar girls that aren't on the pill and there's a chance they'll call you in a few weeks, less than pleased. You might want to be ready to help out financially. Once they're pregnant, they stop going to the bar and refuse to go to the club with you but should be back to normal once they give birth or transfer to the LifeBubble.

 

In the future there will be more variation in their messages to you, possibly other calls about their pregnancy that tie into (potential, future) relationships you could have with them (not implemented in XCL yet, but on the roadmap).

when do the XCL v0.21.4+ come out, as I i still see it as XCL v0.21.3 on LoversLab, and when I installed it says I need XCL v0.21.4+.

It's being playtested. v0.21.3 is the current release right now. There is no hard (😏) release date. This, and some others, are probably more for the playtesting to get a jump on bugfixing and such🙂

Was this a new game or a save from a previous version? At least one of the errors looks like it's trying to find an array in the $bruce object that's used in 21.4+ but wasn't present in earlier versions, otherwise I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

I just uploaded a new version that fixes one of the bugs in the screenshots above, but I'm not sure what's going on with the rest.

After testing a new save, same issue.

It pops up you make a selection, pops up another one on "same page" the other choice is the only option. Soft-lock The stat changes only effects Alexia

There seem to be no exit out of scene once choice is made.

Shows same girl even though I never touched her. (Did a check it does not matter any bar girl will still cause issue.)

I uploaded a new version later last night that - at least in my testing - fixes all these problems. v0.9.2 should solve the "no exit" problem and the other errors.

I got your update, it now "mostly" works. The stat change seems to still effects Alexia instead of actual bar girl. Hard to see/measure/check the stat changes.

I haven't run into that myself but I'll see if I can figure it out

I managed to get a few errors with only v0.9.3 of this mod loaded in XCL v0.21.5:

These don't look like anything related to NPC pregnancy; either they're caused by another mod you loaded or there's a bug in the base game.

When I was testing I didn't have any other mods loaded except this one. It might be a problem with the base game, but if I test those areas/scenes with no mods loaded then no errors pop up.

 

I just ran another test where I loaded every mod in my list except this one, and I didn't get those errors. I also tried re-downloading the mod, but there was no change.

I've seen similar errors like these before - the variables it's looking for and not finding aren't used or referenced in NPC pregnancy, and all have to do with the properties of (female) outfits. NPC pregnancy doesn't do anything location specific at all.

Any idea why those errors are only popping up when I have this mod loaded?

 

I'll try re-downloading the full game and see if that does anything. For the new version I used the 0.21.3 -> 0.21.5 update. Maybe it didn't update correctly or something.

It turns out that a piece of the events system in the base game was changed to make sure this doesn't happen, but I haven't updated this mod to address it, so it turns out to be my fault after all. The next release will solve this, and in the meantime those errors aren't a big deal, they don't hurt anything.

It does break the scene in that 2nd pic a bit, since it's displaying the option to Look for Callie even though I'm currently a guy. I've just been avoiding that part of the game for now.
