BlueFluffyDragon Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 (edited) So, basically I've been trying to figure out how to add this custom enchantment (Stendarr's Safeguard) from this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/29841 onto another piece of armor so that I can have it's effect and radiate light at all times with my favorite armor instead for my paladin playthrough. I know that it's pre-enchanted and thus was not designed to be disenchanted (and even says so on the description) but that's why I am asking for help. I've tried removing the MagicDisallowEnchanting keyword in SSEdit which makes it so that I can learn the enchantment but I am unable to equip it onto other pieces of armor. Note: This is for personal use, I would not publish anything without the mod author's permission but I would like and really appreciate some help with possibly and hopefully getting this to work. Mods: If I posted this in the wrong section or this isn't allowed, my apologies! Edited January 9, 2025 by BlueFluffyDragon

This is a list of keywords an item needs for the enchantment. Check vanilla object effects for comparison. It's also missing "enchantment cost" and "enchantment amount" but I doubt they would be an issue. The armour with the effect also has a script attached to it. I didn't look into what the script does, but if it's related to the enchantment effect, it might not work on other armour pieces. Edited January 9, 2025 by Yinkle
BlueFluffyDragon Posted January 10, 2025 Author Posted January 10, 2025 Unfortunately I don't know much about modding beyond using a mod organizer to install my mods, which is why I came here for help. I posted for help on Reddit but no one ever responded, which is why I came came here. Thanks for looking into this for me, I appreciate it. It's a damn shame that I might not be able to get the enchantments to work cause I love the enchantment and how it makes you radiate light but I'm not so big on the armor's aesthetic design, however.....
