Unexplained Immortality

I dunno what the hell I did but at some point my player character has become immortal.  He won't drown, die of rad-poisoning or even when I drop a bottlecap mine at his feet and then shoot it.  

Using the console I have checked god mode isn't on, immortal mode isn't on and even went so far as to download the cheat menu mod to toggle essential - nothing worked.  I'm not one who likes God-mode as there's no challenge.  

I think it might be down to installing Knockout Framework, realising it doesn't work for NG and something got left behind during un-installation.

Write player.getisghost

 

If it returns 1, you're a Ghost.

 

player.setghost 0 should fix it.

I already tried that, too.
