Convenient Modding resources since finding things is hell now?

So it's been a solid half decade atleast since I last tried to get a modded skyrim setup going and I'm in the mood to try it again.

However one of the first issues I'm finding here is identical to what I've seen in modding fallout 4 a few years ago, everything seems to be a complete fucking mess that people who haven't been actively keeping up with the modding scene will have no luck parsing through atall.

And thus I am asking for the simplest availible way of getting a decent set of mods up and done. Basic quality of life and graphics stuff for the sfw side, and then a nice little sexlab setup that doesn't mean I have to scroll through the 500+ pages of DD comments just to find an up-to-date version of a base mod needed for everything else.

Like please tell me there is some atleast vaguely convenient solution here because yeah... I'm not trawling through thousands of pages of ancient conversations just to find different community patches to different mods, nothing is worth that.

So do we have an index page somewhere of "the actually updated mods" or like a wabbajack list of whatever?

You've never needed to do that. On the last page (and on many more pages before it) of the DD SE thread is someone asking about it not working on 1.6.1170 and being given the link to DD NG.

So the problem with an "actually updated list" is because of the great LE/SE/AE schisms and the need to downgrade or use older versions just to get specific mods that you want.  Long and short is that there are at least 3 different versions of skyrim hopping around because of patching and releases and people want to play on all three.

However, since you're on the SE forum, I assume you're one of SE or AE, and that's probably a good starting spot here:

Mind you these are just one person's specific setup but the AE one is kept up to date at the very least.
