Preamer Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I've been trying to do a simple mod of the stock voices, using a pitch shifter to make a deeper voice. I load the ogg file from the archive with audacity, then pitch shift lower, export back to ogg file. I use sample rate settings to try and match original file size. Now when I replace the original ogg file in the archive with the modified one, I get an error on startup and game wont open. If I copy/replace back the original file into the archive the game starts up normally. Can someone explain to me what is preventing this method from working? I suspect it has something to do with the .snf file associated with it? Or maybe the .idx file of the sounds archive? Trying to understand more how it works P.S. I've tried putting ogg files into the Sounds01 folder, but this doesn't seem to do anything.
