Instant undress not working for secondary outfits

It's somewhat random, because sometimes it does work, but usually it doesn't.
I like to switch to a secondary outfit for sex animations, which is a revealing version of the first outfit, however when I try to use the instant undress feature and change outfits to a secondary (or 3rd, 4th, 5th} outfit of the same category (everday, formal, party etc), it just doesn't swap to that version. 
When I swap to another category it does work and "locks in" to that version of that category.

 

So for example, I have a sim with Everyday Outfit 1, and I want to swap to Everday Outfit 2, it doesn't work. 

I can swap to Formal Outfit 2, but when I swap to Everyday Outfit 2 it swaps to Everday Outfit 1.
And if I would then swap to Formal Outfit 1, it stays locked to Formal Outfit 2.

 

This bug has been bugging me for a while now, tbh ever since the underwear update (which I never use), instant undress has been wonky.

in this case I suggest you reset the mod, you can do it from a PC in the game in its menu or by holding down the shift key + left click of the mouse on a sim, 
from the mod settings do reset then systems as you wish and you will see that everything works
