Looks fine to me, like the lighting is just a little harsh.  I'll probably be using this, but the Hatsune Sora one is SOO GOOD.

 

The problem in this mod is in the body material. It inherits the lights from the parent material and create the shadows. You should rebuild the material using a different parent. I had the same problem with Lunasnow and then I changed the parent material from common Skin to Body. And that shadows disappeared.

Nah, one of the modders straight blocked me from interacting with their posts for linking to the dev saying that.  The crazy ones are "all drawings that look young are literal human children and you should be in jail if you even think of seeing one" mentality, and the rest don't care to engage because why talk to these insane people?

Nexus has repeatedly shown they will remove mods that upset their politics, and we know their politics are heavily left leaning so you will be forced to follow "The Message".  Nude chicks are fine, but Trump as Captain America?  "Literally Terrorism!"

This community is way more supportive and less judgy.  That said, the modding discord itself is SUPER welcoming and nice, they just don't allow Peni or Galacta talk, but it's less "all girls under 30 are underage" and more just people.

I understand the concept of what you're saying.  Like it makes sense, but HOW TO DO THAT is what I don't have any current knowledge of.

 

I'll google:  "Changing parent materials in blender" later or, would this be in UE I'd do this?

Okay, I fixed it, and it works with the remeshes still so you can run any of FishB0Ys body types on it.

This Hela wears the cape.

I suggest you to avoid touching Hela materials 2 and 5 as the cape texture is used in other characters. If you want you can edit the mesh in the material section and delete the cape, but don't touch the materials.

That's the reason people prefers to edit the galactic skin and not the stanfard one.

IMO the transparent cape is sexy, I like it.

I leave here the mod for the game and the pak file if you want to edit something else.

For the others: don't use the pakfile in game. Extract the 7z file and use the 3 files inside it.

No, but I'll get to it.  I'll also do that luna bikini mod. I subscribe to ScrumpChewie, I can refresh all of them actually.

you can find the material guide about the parents and the child (material instance) here after 29:40. The entire section explain how to create a new material using the json of an existing material, that became the parent

It makes sense, that's kinda what I was thinking, the texture must be used for other stuff. Hulk's gun, etc.  I was going to do it without touching the VFX folder.  But since you know how to patch the alternates, I much appreciate your better mod.  Reminds me how pissed I am I stopped watching twitch 15 minutes from the Hela skin on the last day thinking "I'll finish it tomorrow" and learning I'd now never get it. XD

 

Is there any chance you could explain how I can take a mod that doesn't have support for alternate colors and MAKE it have alternate color support?  I know I need to create folders in UE, but are you cooking textures or meshes?  Or just the empty folders?

 

@RadicalDreamer52  , there 100% is a simple enough way to mark a material invisible and make the cape disappear again, but I don't currently know how.  I'll ask around the discord see if I can get it going.

 

PS:  Napa, adding Luna pushed Barefoot Bitches up to the trending mods.  Thanks for your awesome additions!

Update, the hela mod STILL breaks my game.  There's something in there that's borked. Soon as I added it I lost Hulk's gun again and can't interact with the ESC menu until swapping characters.  This thing is cursed.

Hela mod is breaking mine too. You can't see where to place Loki clones.  Makes them invisible so you don't know if you can't place them or if the VFX is missing.

 

@NapalexNot sure if you know what the issue is, but yeah... This Hela mod is cursed lol.

It's not cursed. It's me that I'm dumb. I uploaded the version with the materials modified. I have to stop uploading things when it's late night. I reuploaded now the correct version

To fix the alternate skins there are 2 cases:

In case of this Hela mod, I have not touched the mesh, only the textures. And I had to cook them, only to convert the old season 1.5 format to the new 2.0. 

Just follow the texture paths in the original game characters pak and update the textures with the exact same names. You can inspect the pak file I have created so you can see what I modified.

In the meshes modified mods, you have to modify the materials IDs in the meshe. You have to follow the same ID number of the original model for every materials. If you have to add a material that you don't want to be modified in the alternate skins, you have to assign it a new ID that is not in the original list.

You can inspect my LunaSnow mod and check what I did. There you can see 2 things: how I created the bodyfix material using the body material as parent, and the IDs of the materials in the meshes. You can see they are the same as the original model, but the bodyfix material has an id that is not in the original. 

When a material is out of that list, it stays the same in the alternate skin, it doesn't change.
