gghhjj666 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 This started occuring after I finished a somehwat longer playthrough on a completely new save. The things I did inbetween te playthroughs were changing my LODS with dyndolod, install Static Skill Leveling Rewritten with its requirements, TAWOBA level list entries to use together with OWL and SkyValor. I've tried disabling those mods but still get the issue. It isn't specific cells this happens to it seems random and for example sometimes I can enter Belathors shop other times I cannot and it goes for all other cells I've yet to try. The black screen appears after the loading screen seems to be done and I'm able to hear the locations music and ambiance but not for example npcs. Another issue that appeared at the same time is that at first when I created the game and my character in alternative start - live another life I'm able to change custom keybinds for different mods in the MCM but after leaving alternative start I can no longer change them. When I try to change a keybind I get the popup telling me to press the new button, I press the new button and the window disapears but the keybind didn't change and I can no longer change anything in the mcm until I clsoe it and open it again. loadorder.txt
BattDaPsycho Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 A simple fix for loading issues is to disable save on travel/wait/rest in your options. Sometimes that causes issues when your game is trying to load the new cell while simultaneously making your save. Increasing your page file size may also help a bit, personally I've made a 25GB E drive on my PC just for pagefile function. Normally I'd suggest CLA SSE to help translaste crashlogs but you didn't mention crashing. As odd as it sounds, some mods/mod requirements like Scaleform Translations have interfered with mods of mine they weren't supposed to touch and caused strange bugs and issues. Try disabling new requirements you've downloaded along with your new mods and see if one of those is the issue.

Yeah, forgot to mention I've already turned of all autosaving and only use real saves so no quick saves either. Increased my pagefile a bit ago too and yeah I'm not getting a crash, have to close the game with task manager. It does seem to happen more reguarly when entering a cell with a merchant but can happen in when entering any cell it seems like. Tried disabling all new mods I downloaded between my playrhough but the one adding TAWOBA level list entries as I couldn't imagine that being the issue but could try it as well
nilead Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Had such issue with SLACS. Disabling persistent overlays helped with that specific cause for this issue.

This might have been it, remembering now I turned that off for my last playtrhough so must have missed to turn it of while configuring the mcm for this new one
