Ways to start out as a new modder

I read a lot of posts that are 'It would be cool to have (thing) but I am not a modder.'

I think it needs to be said: No one was a modder until they started modding. Anyone with a PC that can open/run the creation kit can mod.

There are easy ways to start out and make things that you like (they don't need to be things you release, I made lots of mods for skyrim that were just for me). As you get better at it, you can make bigger more involved things.

I am making this thread so if you want to try a new thing, I or others can maybe help you in that direction.

Examples of pretty easy things:

If you want better romance dialogue, it is pretty easy to learn the scene system that is used by dialogues and quests, and once you do, you can edit the dialogues in the game (this is also the system I use to trigger sex animations in NAF Seduce).

You can change stats of items in CK very easily, or make drugs/items that increase or decrease stats.

Making animations for NAF is much easier than in Skyrim or Fallout 4 and only uses free/open tools (Blender). Once you get exporter set up, takes 30 second to export animation, so easy to make 1 person animations (2 person is harder, but I can try and help with that also).

102 – lip sync
