icladel Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Hi, Does anyone know how to un-install Pinup Poser S? Link:<http://mod.dysintropi.me/pinup-poser-s/> I tried it earlier today and when I loaded the save, I CTD. In the papyrus files, the final line mentions missing FNIS Pinup scripts. How should I go about cleaning the mod out of my save game? Or at least un-installing it so that my save still works. (Note: At the time I un-installed, my character was not wearing any of the rings, neither was it in a pose) Cheers
Ark of Truth Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 If you had ANY NPC in a pose you have a chance of getting a crash. Just leave the mod install but deactivated. I have never had a issue with it. For future reference questions like this go in the SKYRIM TECHNICAL SUPPORT SECTION
icladel Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 Oops my bad wrong section. Thanks for the reply. Just to be clear, I was NOT in a pose when I un-installed it. I un-installed it due to the crash on load problem. So just to be clear, if I deactivate the mod plugin but the scripts are still in my data folder, then I shouldnt have a CTD where the issue is about missing scripts? Cheers
Guest Mogie56 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 if you still have the mod itself you can look through it to see all files and scripts (and there locations) that need to be deleted. and in some cases the leftover scripts cause problems. even when a mod is disabled files get read.

That's the problem though. I knew there were scripts and where they were located. When I removed all Pinup related files and tried loading a save, I would CTD. The papyrus log final lines were related to those Pinup scripts. Is there a way to clean the old scripts out? Is the only way to NOT HAVE pinup poser simply to deactivate the .esp but allow the scripts to still be readable in the background?
Guest Mogie56 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 try loading an earlier save, even your very first save, then without exiting the game load the save your trying to load, that usually works for me when I run into this problem. then save but only do this after all traces of pinup are gone.
ettorg Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Do you have a save before pp was installed?... Edit: good idea Mogie, i was thinking this too (you can try to start a new game too and load the save after, if you don't have a poser free save)

I have uninstalled the mod with no adverse effects by first deactivating the esp , loading , saveing , uninstalling, loading , saveing, playing. you can probably skip almost all I did and simply uninstall with no adverse effects
