Vexing Vixen Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Well I decided to come back once again and play Skyrim loverslab edition and I need to purge my old mod list and uninstall Skyrim and reinstall it since the game needs a fresh start..... and reinstall my beloved mods that made my game... Spicy and difficult for my heroine. I'm sure Belladonna(my soon to be created heroine) is looking forward to her new adventure and maybe she won't get harassment or catcalls the first 5 minutes as she walks into the nearest town or city. Assuming she doesn't get drag away by some evil bandits. 😠 Sigh... Wish me luck installing all the mods that I want along with massive amount of loverslab's mods without breaking the game. >_< I'm sure you all had bad experiences of trying to get your 200+ mods to work for hours. Wish me luck. XD Or maybe share your frustrations on here about trying to get ur all your mods running smoothly and not breaking the game.
Count Chocula Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 I think the place to start is "What version of Skyrim are you going to use?" 1
Infernogal Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) Though I don't play Skyrim I can relate to the post. I feel like I spend more time getting mods and CC than I do playing any game 😆 Edited November 15, 2024 by Infernogal 1

Right now it's the latest version of SE as I had a refresh reinstalled skyrim but right now going through my normal mods first, along with body and hair physics. Which I'm happy to report that my my hair/body physics look good and working with their armor/clothes replacement that allows physics. Also making the world look prettier with overhaul mods. Once I get to the loverslab's mods that I will install later and see what versions of the game they require. If some of my most have mods require older versions of the game than I'll change back my game version along with skse and a few others to make those mods work For now just installing all the mods from nexus that I want and making sure they work, than move on to loverslab's mods and making them work. I'm sure my heroine will have to wait to start her adventure til tomorrow.
Count Chocula Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Now I'm just curious, do you use someone's published mod list?
Guest Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) > I wish you a lot of patience, wisdom, and luck since I know how modding Skyrim was frustrating to my Prince especially when something went wrong or didn't work and he didn't know what was it. He used to break a couple of keyboards because of that. Edited November 15, 2024 by Evaloves4

Fakenet Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 (edited) 200 mods? Rookie numbers, the visual overhaul alone takes that much at least. I have set up Skyrim 3 times since I last played it 5 years ago. If we only take Skyrim SE I have literally spend more time modding than playing it. Tell us how it went in two weeks. I am currently following a modlist but it isn't "done" right now. Godspeed, brave adventurer. Edited November 15, 2024 by Fakenet 1
JimUpdating Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 check out the Open Animation Replacer. check out the AI follower frame work, and Min's additions which are aware of LL , or Mantella.

Throwing everything including the kitchen sink of mods at an install is more the sign of a rookie than is having a smaller, more well curated list of mods. It takes some experience and time as a mod user to learn which mods a player actually wants.

The bloat in numbers is most likely due to a lot of mods concerning themselves with one small thing in particular. Textures for live rabbits, textures for dead rabbits, textures for rabbit in inventory. Better textures are not strictly needed, true. I am certain you could just use one collection and be done with it and get a more than decent result.

We've all seen a mod or two that affect one thing in the game, one thing we see once for 30 seconds and never see again. Those are the mods "non-rookie" players are gonna weed out, even if they are just texture mods.

You pretty much can have 500 mods and still have skyrim running smoothly since most mods are just texture replacement or overhauls making the world of Skyrim to look beautiful and up to date. Tho I still have to be careful with the big high intense mods not conflicting other other big scripted mods. I got home and started my mod list again and started the game and works perfectly so far. Pretty much got all the nexus mods I wanted and ready to get the loverslabs mods. So many yummy mods that needs to be installed but will install the first 20 loverslab mods than start my game and make sure it works before moving on the the next 30, and repeat this step 3 more times before I'm happy. Count Chocula Posted November 16, 2024 Posted November 16, 2024 Don't forget the rabbit texture mods.

It has to look run smoothly and look good doing it.

inrush Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 oh my god, i thought you were going to war... have you made a backup disk image yet? xDD
Vexing Vixen Posted November 18, 2024 Author Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) Well I finished creating my mod list and started to play for real. So I did it ^_^. Took longer than I thought but I finally have all the mods I want and it runs smoothly. Admittedly I have more mods than I planned but I'm happy with it. When I started with new character I figure I try High Elf since I usually play Nord warrior women. I created a new character a beautiful High Elf named Belladonna who prefers archery and spellsword for the full fantasy package thanks to mods and overhauls. Started as a huntress in the woods for sport only to see a dragon overhead. Went to Riverwood, spoke with npcs and ignoring flirting npcs and the slave trade going on, got some quest and move on to Whiterun to warn the Jarl of Dragons, went to the inn afterwards and of course when getting some bounty requests my character gets hit on and catcalled by the men. One even spanked my Belladonna's ass so I end up deciding to brawl with him. knocked him down and left the inn. >:P Character traveled to the hideout only to spot a damsel in distress on the way there by bandits (I think it was BaboDialogue's mod random encounters or maybe one of the many loverslabs mods). I killed two of them and still have about 70% health only for a lucky hit from my back which had a chance to knock me down which it did. Failed to save the damsels and the bandit had family friendly interaction with me... alot.... before my character fade to black and woke up tied up and hanging from a ceiling inside a cave were the bandits did more family friendly activities with me as I failed the persuasion check to talk them into letting me go. Also the damsels I tried to saved is locked in a cage nearby. Saved and quit. Not the best place to save as Belladonna is still tied up in a cave captured by bandits. >_< Hopeful when I get back into the game I'll wait til night, escape, sneak by sleeping bandits, get my weapons and armor back, and rescue the damsel from cage before sneaking out of the cave and try to get back to Whiterun.
