Teenage sim can not drop out of high school

I have a teen sim that I want to drop out of school, but every time I use the drop out option on the computer, when I reload the save, the sim is enrolled in school again. How can I get the dropout status to remain?

If you can't get the drop out to stick, you could try for early graduation. Just cheat their grade up. I think UI cheats extension is the one that lets you just right click a career and set it to max. Then just right click their Performance bar and set it to 100.

Your sim should get a phone call relatively soon that will ask if they want to graduate early since they have such good grades. Having them work hard during the day at school will probably help push them over the edge faster, I think, though, I'm not sure. The rest is certain since I literally just did it before clicking this topic.

No, I didn't think of doing this. I guess that is my only option then.

Have you tried this mod? Might work in a pinch:

Triplis Quit Or Join School

It says the latest version of that mod is from 2021. I'm not even sure it would work anymore.

I'm using it. It works perfectly fine. Kids (and teens) start off NOT in school. That's a feature of the mod. You will have to enroll children and teens manually if you want them in school.

Yeah, this got rid of the problem I was having, even with sims that were already in school, which was good. It will be interesting to see how it deals with the prom event, speaking of which, it would be nice to see a mod that either got rid of the negative sentiments from not being invited, or at least allowed you to invite anyone you wanted, sadly I do not think anything like that exists... Anyway, this mod worked perfectly.

You'll still get invited to prom and - I think - the pop up to go to Prom still happens. A bit annoying now that you reminded me lol. For the sad moodlets, you could try:

https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/not-sad-about-holidays-mod

Not sure if it covers prom, though. It works great for all other holidays.
