Rokabur Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 When updating can mod authors please state what latest version of the SexLab Framework the mod is compatible with?
TheDriedFinger Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I think that the convention is "the latest unless otherwise stated", though it is certainly sloppy of a modder to not note this if their mod really isn't compatible with the latest version.
Mickster Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 The problem with that is that the author isn't always around when a new frame work version is released. Generally it's a good idea to let other people test it out first if you're unsure.
WaxenFigure Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Always use the latest version of SexLab. The only reason someone should mark what version of SexLab to use is because it only works with that specific version which IMO would be a coding error.
Rokabur Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Was just asking cause I was forced to use SexLab framework 1.30 beta and I downloaded the latest versions of FNIS Behavior, FNIS Creatures, Zaz Animation Pack, SexLab Submit, Hentai Creatures, Romance, Match Maker and Random Attack. Only Random Attack worked fine, Hentai Creatures I could summon them but then they would just stand around doing nothing after 'talking' (E) to them and selecting train from the menu. Romance even when I did make it through all the dialogue cause most of the time part way through the dialogue tree it wouldn't advance, the other NPC would just stand there doing nothing and then continuing what they were doing. Also with Romance if an NPC turned my character down I got a message in the upper left corner about 0.0000000000% chance when I had the difficulty set on easiest and I had a Speech skill to 80+ with the Amulet of Dibella and the Persuasion Perk. Didn't get to test Submit since I didn't do any combat. Match Maker I'd cast the self spell on my character and the other spell on the NPC and when the timers ran out nothing would happen.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 It isn't a compatibility problem between the mods and Sexlab it's more likely a conflict between the different mods you're using. I have SSL 1.3 and Romance both work perfectly together.
Rendflesh Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 im not sure but i was having lots of issues getting past load screens and then ctd. Im not sure so dont quote me... and this is more a question then statement.. I disabled Zaz animation pack and poof everything worked... Rokabur Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 For most of my problems people keep saying theres probably a mod conflict but I have no idea what since about 98% of the mods I have DON'T state what other mods they might conflict with. Gonna try again with most of the follower, quest and weapon mods turned off and see what happens. Edit:Got the mods to work with Skyrim, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, the unofficial patches for those, SkyUI and the RaceMenu mod. Now I have to go through 194 files (several mods have multiple files) to try and figure out which ones are causin g the conflict. Guessing its wishful thinking hoping there might be a program that could tell you what mods might be conflicting with eachother?
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Technically all you really needed to go through was the mods that use SSL the likelihood that the conflict would be between those mods is higher then the other non ssl mods you use. this is not to say that one of those mods couldn't cause issues with it just that the odds are lower.
Rokabur Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 It is one of the regular mods that's preventing the SexLab mods from running. Loaded all the regular mods, only SexLab Framework and Hentai Creatures were turned on, Nude Creatures, Romance, Random Attack, Submit and Match Maker were all turned off. I summoned one of the creatures from Hentai Creatures, I selected train from the menu and it just stoof around doing absolutely nothing.

Scripted mods that fail to run usually leave a huge clue as to why they failed in the Papyrus log, if you have it enabled.

If it was neat and concise maybe but it's just one entire giant block of text that makes it hard to seperate everything. Theres also 4-5 logs depending on I don't know what cause somedays theres only 4 log files and other days there are 5. Think i might have even seen 6 log files once.
