kurisu7885 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 So, I have an Acer Iconiatab, a refurbished one, that I purchased from Amazon. I've been having lots of fun with it, however, I noticed what appears to be a stuck or dead pixel, at least a dark speck on the screen. I thought it was a speck of dirt at first, but wiping didn't remove it, and it appears to be under the glass. I have an app running that says it should help detect and fix it, however some second opinions might be nice. I hope it can be fixed as it's driving me nuts. Only other blemish is a small scratch, but I hear some eyeglass scratch remover can fix that.
Ark of Truth Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Speaking from experience when a pixel is dead, its dead.
Captain Cobra Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 You could always try gently tapping on it.
kurisu7885 Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 Well, seeing this happened in at most under two weeks from buying the damn thing, and that the repair app I ran for, I dunno, around, hour didn't work, time to contact the seller, and if that isn't covered, see if I can find a repair place.

kurisu7885 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 Hehe, ok, humorous suggestions aside and suggestions that it's stuck, it fixed itself. The dark area move closer and closer to the edge of the screen, and now it's gone, no more dead pixels. Apparently it was a GPU error.
