So I was having this same issue as the post below:
 

After some digging around and trying to find a fix, I piece it all together after running down several posts and looking for the right solution. So I thought: "might as well put it all together so people can figure this out more easily then me in 2024 and beyond." So here is the fix for the issue of:

 

"Loversbackup2

Pluggy installation not found

Loversbackup2 will not function"

You will download Pluggy version 132 and literally drop the files into this folder: Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins

You can get to it easily by using vortex and to open up the game mods folder function, from there you just open up OBSE and go into plugins and drag and drop the stuff from pluggy into the plugins folder and it fixes the entire issue. The below picture shows what that looks like once you follow those instructions.

You play LAPF/Lovers without pluggy ?   Of course that doesn't work.

Read installation instructions and then such an error will not happen.

Pluggy version 132: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/23979
Pluggy is an OBSE plugin that adds functions to Oblivion. Depending on what LPK plugins you may install you "may" need
to rename the dll file from "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll" to "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll".

 

So with a correctly installed LAPF mod you won't get the error message.

And Vortex? really ?   If you have problems with Lovers Mods, keep in mind that they may be caused by Vortex.
