[XCL] Alexia Double Dates

Alexia invites girl-you on double dates.

Very experimental! Much bugs! So needing play-testing!

 

This is a fairly early work in progress that seems to be playable to me, at least, but likely needs a lot of extra polish and bug fixing. I thought other people might like the idea, though, so I'm sharing it early. Expect things to break!

 

Alexia Double Dates

If you're going to be a girl for a few days, Alexia might ask you to go on a double date with her and a couple of guys.

 

...She's not really doing it for you, of course, so she doesn't really care too much what happens with your date, as long as you'll go through with it so she can get some action.

 

Known issues:

• Dates are arranged based on your pill timer, so if you manage to end your pill early, things might just end abruptly. (I tried to add a scene where Alexia confronts you about it, but it doesn't appear to work...for some reason)

 

To do:

• More variety in the guys
• Expand the dates a bit more to be more than just remixes of the game's existing "catcall" mechanic
• Allow you to take a pill if your X-Change expires early, or allow Alexia to provide you with a pill if you don't have one

after you go on double date, with the new day plan mechanics in game, the double date stays there blocking ability to choose anything in day slot. -- this means that during week days you go straight to work, and on weekends you skip to the evening plans. this blocks ability to go to the mall without mods adjusting mall time slots.

Tried the mod on 0.21.3. Got on double date. I am not sure if its other mod caused issue but basically what happend with mine is that the next day and day after double date is kept selected and once you reach it, it bugs out. Think its same as Heiseaave said.

Yup, this is an issue that will need to be worked on.

I keep running into an issue with this.  It's definitely this mod as this still happens even when I uninstall every other mod for the game except for this one.  When you try to go clubbing and click enter club, the game glitches out and displays these errors.  This only happens if you try to go clubbing as a man, seems to work normally as a woman.

This should be fixed in the latest version of my Alexia mods (Club Requests, Double Dates, Forced Bar). Seems some new code was added to the :: events passage that handles resetting male clothes.

Some other users are still seeing this issue, but it's been suggested that another mod out there (possibly Wharf-related?) might also need to update that passage.

You could edit the RNG value in the twee file, I suppose.

Other than that, I think there are only two criteria: 1) You need to be female on a pill that will last for a few days, and 2) She has to not be too attracted to you, as then she'd rather hook up with you than someone else.

Ah thank you I think that's my problem that the save I was using has her attracted to me.

I'm running the latest update you released the other day, and even with all other mods uninstalled on a fresh save file it's still happening.  Never downloaded any of the wharf stuff either.  Do I need to download your other 2 alexia mods to make it work?

You shouldn't need them, as they all contain the same "events" passage to make sure they can work in any combination.

 

Are you sure you don't have DatDude's Devious Outfits? That was identified on the Discord as being the culprit.

 

The events passage needs to set your outfit for men's clothes if your character is male, and it's missing in that mod.

I had the Devious Outfits installed over a month ago, uninstalled it since it conflicted with another mod and haven't used it since

When testing I only have this one mod installed+media files.  You can see a screenshot of my modloader here when testing, there's no other mods being loaded so there should be no conflicts.

I'm also testing it on a brand new save file, same issue

The only thing I haven't tried yet is clearing my cookies/reinstalling, but I'd rather leave that as a last resort since I've got quite a few achievements I don't want to lose, and redownloading mods is a pain.  Unless Devious Outfits left a permanent glitch in my game, I highly doubt it'd still be causing issues at this point.  If you have any ideas (preferably ones less extreme than restarting) to get it to work, I'm all ears, I really love the concept you have for this and it fits my reluctant playthroughs very well.

Just going straight to the club after starting the new game, or do you switch to female and back first? I tried both and didn't see any errors.

Ok, I finally figured out the solution.  So I said I had Devious outfits installed a while ago, but when I wanted to stop using it, I disabled it in case I ever wanted to enable it again.  Turns out just having devious outfits on the modloader list, regardless of whether it's checked or unchecked is enough to cause the glitch.  I had to remove it completely from the modloader list and that fixed the issue.  Really weird that just having the mod in the modloader, even if you're not loading it at all is causing an issue, you'd think it wouldn't touch disabled mods at all, but whatever, I'm just glad it's working again.

 Sounds like it might be a mod loader error. You could report it over there and see if anyone else is experiencing it.

Hello Sorry to bother but when i lauch a game whit only this mod and the picture one it seen that i get stuck in the main room and can not do anything else than pass turn anyway to fix that?

Any plans on making Alexia more forceful regarding the MC doing the double dates if she has become dominant and / or doesn't respect them? Such as not telling the player in advance and instead just springing it on 'her' the night of, making the MC cancel other plans for that night and instead going with her, possibly forcing a specific outfit on the MC, telling the MC she will join the date or she will ruin her life, etc. are all possibilities I can imagine.
